Great job on the game, I love the pixel art and the limited lighted area makes it challenging. Having a skip button on the dialogue is such a godsend for me, i died a lot and being able to hop past the beginning dialogue was great.

I wish I could say I have finished this game but I haven't.
The art was great. I am a sucker for pixel art. I did notice that some assets seemed squashed, primarily on some rotating platforms but definitely not on the majority. It could be the lights playing tricks on me... speaking of which. A good use of darkness and lighting for sure, but if I had to give a critique it would be that the match lights up a bit too slow since you can't move. Even if I didn't change the speed of the light I'd maybe allow movement to stop the increase and dim it back down early so that players could choose to take smaller bursts of light for speed & game pacing.
I see in your description that you had added more audio to your game after submission & a level skip option. I'll probably be checking that out as I try to play through this game moving forward so my so I can finish the experience.
Overall a solid game I have thoroughly enjoyed.
I thought I had left a comment already because it was one of the first games I played.
Really enjoyed it but didn't get too far, the art really grabbed my attention, really beautiful.
The match animation was a great concept, but it was a bit clunky feeling in practice.
And with all the feeling the game produces, iId love to see more sound effects, it would just bring the mood up even farther.
Looking forward to spending time to practice a bit and get through more of it!
thanks! if you are not so good at platformer, you can try my new game version with audio effect and levels skipping function(press N). It doesn't count as a submission of the jam(I didn't finish it in time.), but you can play it if you are interested in more content of my game.😁

That was great! I too am terrible at platformers but I enjoyed attempting it.
On suggestions I could give is to just make the match light a little faster and make it so you can interrupt it by moving. It would definitely help increase the pacing a little and help ease frustrations going back through the areas I already went thought XD I just wanna take a quick look!
Agreed that the music and ambience was very fitting! Good job :D
That was a great concept! I wish I were better at platformers as I would have liked to be able to make it farther but I really like the aspect of not being able to see while moving. The music was subtle and not distracting. Great job! :D

Great aesthetic and mood. The music was especially haunting! I wish there had been some sound effects, maybe footsteps or a death noise... Also, it's VERY hard! I liked it though, well done!
I'm not sure which level it was, but there were crossbows! I got stuck at one point where there was a crossbow above me shooting sideways, I had to walk over blocks that had proximity spikes AND time it so that the auto-moving spikes didn't get me... I just couldn't work out the timings! I think that maybe slowing the rate of fire on the crossbows would help, or maybe its just me being rubbish!
Thank you very much for your feedback! I spent another day after the GameJam ended adding a lot of sound effects and changing the difficulty, including the arrow speed you mentioned, although I can't update the game at the moment, but you want to play the new You can download the new version here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uj-tjOLHhpqABAf9JuG-WyEeN_2fK0Sq/view?usp=shari... , and I added a function, press N to go directly to the next level, so you don't have to play from the beginning, and you can skip the level if you get stuck.
