this was wonderful, i just wanted more! it was building up and building up...and then it ended ;_;
with that said, you did an outstanding job with the incremental layering of instruments, the use of ostinato, and the overall choices of instrumentation for each part. the chords were also perfectly fitting of the theme. i enjoyed listening to this, awesome job! :)))
Intro was immersing and it just kept getting better from there. It sounds very boss fight too. The dissonances after about a minute fit really well with the Halloween theme, so nice work.
Truly beautiful composition. The descending arpeggiated Halloween chords above the sustained organ chords create an impressively powerful emotion. Amazing work!
The choppy dissonant clusters in the woodwinds to open the song definitely set a spooky vibe, though the bassoon runs sound a little more consonant than I would expect a Halloween theme to sound. The string and French horn melody is eerie and ominous though. The build up to the organ chords with the tubular bell feel much bigger and more like a Halloween boss! This is a very beautiful and well-composed piece. I would love to sit in an orchestral hall and listen to this live. Good job and thank you for sharing!
Thank you very much!
I love the single tubular bell that is hanging out in the end. ;) The escalation at 0:48 was a bit sudden, but not unwelcome. I loved the section afterwards with the subtle organ in the background. Well done!
Thank you!
I love the orchestral buildup during the first minute of the song, the first 40 seconds are probably my favorite. The song seems more like an intro to a boss rather than the boss fight itself, but I still enjoyed listening. Great job!
Thank you!
My first impression of this song was "this feels very conducted." You know starting out with a lot of short and intense notes, and then waving your hand to the right to bring in the slow wave of accompaniment. This song is very traditional, and it really doesn't dissappoint. It has very strong vibes to it, and I absolutely love how it sounds.
I would say this isn't the most "bossy" of the boss battles, but I can definitely see it fitting. Great job with the theme.
Can't wait to see more of your stuff, hoping for some more Orchestra stuff in the Winter! That's my favorite time for that kinda stuff.
Thank you for your kind feedback. I agree about the tune not being very "bossy" but I didn't find a good way to fix it. I will definitely participate in Tune Jams in the future, but if you want to you can always check out a song I made with a winter feel a while back:
