The range spanned by the low brass/piano and the high strings creates an image of a massive space warship (at least to my ears).

I think this nails the countdown sequence perfectly. Very cinematic and visually stimulating composition. Felt the heat, but I think it could have come to a big finish that would've helped nail the "blast off" for me. 

The suspense is perfect for a pre-rocket launch! The high string pedal notes add that sizzle that has me on the edge of my seat. The bass walk-up with the low i-V bounce back and forth makes me imagine the countdown starting as the rocket ship is rising from an underground bunker. Good work and thank you for sharing!
