True to form from Kevin, this story game is simple and elegant with the potential for evoking both heartbreaking tragedy and uplifting hope. Someone suggested I take one star off because of how many people won't play it with me-- they get this stricken look on their face and go "oh no, my childhood,"... but I consider this the mark of a good game premise, and a feature not a bug. Play it!
This game is marvelous fun! It provides excellent practice for improvisational narration and collaborative story building. It's a low-stakes game that still has opportunities for high drama, and because of its genre flexibility, it has exciting replay potential. I can't wait to play again!
