The reason for 3 days is that you can pick any 3 hours during the weekend and make a game. Initially Trijam was only 3 hours, the problem was that people wanted to participate, but couldn't, cause the specific time was taken. So the jam is extended over 3 days, so you can pick your time. And yes, you can make several games. :)
