:) It is quite fun, loved it!

I've always wanted to make some kind of clicker/idle game! Charming art and animations, I know it's a lot to put everything together under such a tiny time limit. Hope you'll come back and add to this after the jam!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, there's a couple things I wanted to add that I didn't get to. I'm thinking of making the castle start as a hut and make it grow into a castle with increasing population. I also would like to add sfx/music and mess around with the enemy animations(and maybe different enemies?).

Submitted

Glad to here it! I think different enemies would be great, maybe moving at different speeds or patterns. And I think having the castle start as a hut or having any kind of upgrades/progression would instantly add a lot.

Developer(+1)

I did slightly randomize the speed, but it's not too visible here.

Hey, I just updated the game and figured you'd want to know. The enemies still don't move as fast on itch as they do in unity and I have NO clue why though.

Nice! The update did add a lot to the atmosphere. The enemy visual variety, the castle, and even the cursor. Great work! I unfortunately also don't know why the enemy movement speed works differently from Unity to the web build.

Fun game! Most fun I've had with a clicker game

I liked the concept of the game, was fun to play. Music would have made the gameplay even better. Overall it was good!

Developer

Yeah, music/sfx would have added a lot. I did download audacity yesterday though, so I'm going to try and get started on that.

Ahh I see, 👍🏻

Very simple gameplay, reminds me of those good old flash games. What would have been very cool is to have some kind of an effect that happens from gaining population. Maybe some warriors spawning? Defense towers?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

the original idea was actually to start with a hut and work up to a giant castle with increasing population, but I didn't get to it.(the very original idea was actually growing your space colony, but that would have taken the whole time just for me to draw).  Something like archer towers would definitely be cool though.(I also just realized this is the second time someone's compared one of my games to a flash game lol. Kind of funny considering I don't know if I'm even old enough to have played them, but thanks?)

Nice game, but I wish there was variety to the enemies. And, of course, music would make the experience better. But overall, good!

The game fit very well the theme, it's very fun !

The game perfectly matches the theme! I feel like the music would have given a boost to the game!

Submitted

That was fun and well executed! I didn't know simple clicks could be so difficult ^^ Well done!

I think your game perfectly respects the theme, it's very fun and I think it would be better with music

Developer(+2)

Thanks! I unfortunately didn't get to music on time(I spent an hour trying to learn/improve my skills with animation), but I'll definitely add that later.
