Fun game mechanic, mixing platforming with stacking blocks is a nice choice. Seems like just spamming the block button as much as possible worked out better than any other strategy I tried though!
thank you! Just curious, but what was your high score with that method?
Earlier when I played it a bit I was averaging closer to 15? But I tried it again after reading your comment and usually got around 12 depending on my luck. I think whats happening is that i'm spamming without trying to go TOO high all at once so the blocks stay lower to the other blocks. Regardless though it's still amusing and I had a good time!
That’s interesting, I thought I had a good strategy but I’m topping out at 13.5 haha
Thanks again for playing!
Music is well-picked and the facial expressions are cute. I, however, feel as if the blocks move too slow. Plus the high-pitched sfx for the dropping of the block is really loud, I wish there was a way to tune it down. Concept is interesting, feels like a new twist on tetris-like games. Good game.
thank you!
Very good point. I wanted to add a settings menu to adjust audio volumes, but I was running out of time.
The game is simple, and (a bit) hard, perfect! Totally matches the theme!
The idea is really cool, it took a bit for me to understand the game mechanic, but then I really enjoied playing.
In my opinion the musics really fit with the game, so good one!
Thank you for playing!
This is really fun! I love the detail with the character expressions. Also, the way you can bump the blocks and move them around adds a nice touch of difficulty and strategy. It would be cool if the next block would only iterate between the edges of the exposed blocks, (once you start climbing higher and the initial platform disappears).
Very well done, I can see myself returning to play this multiple times!
Thank you!
I could add that after the jam. I just ran out of time haha
