i unfortunatly could not finish the first level because a big and got stuck inside of a wall.
i like the ants, and your "animation" by just skaling/skewing/manipulatin the sprite works well enough it looks like they are moving.
also really cool minimap!
good job!

Clever game with the procedural generation 👍

Great game with a lot of substance. The art style and audio choices are great.

Some feedback:

  • I feel the game could use a lot of improvements in user feedback. It's not obvious how much health an ant has or if the ant has been hit by me.
  • Upon spawning in, I'm immediately swarmed by ants. There is a lack of an intro screen or something of that sort to ease you in.
  • It would be great if the ant sprites could be flipped to face you depending on the direction they're coming from.

I think there was an  ant that spawned out of the map, making it unwinnable. But other than that this game is very fun.

Procedural generation gives a massive boost to replayability. That's awesome! I was thinking of implementing a similar idea too! :))

I didn't like the fact that the shooting is awkward, it always seems that the gun misses the targets. Also poorly understandable which ants are dead and which are not, crosses on the eyes - not quite visible :))
