This game actually influenced the direction my game went! I was really struggling to figure out an idea for my game, and since you submitted yours early, I played it to help my creative process. I loved the torch placing idea so much that I had to try my own version 😉 The maze is a really interesting idea! It would be too difficult to do in three hours, but a newly generated maze each time would add some depth. Very cool idea!
We are glad to give inspiration, yes, more levels or generated mazes could add more depth. Thanks for the feedback!
Nice and original game idea. Nice to see what concepts poeples bring with such a short dev time. Nice one!
Thank you so much!
Nice concept :). I think the overall map give a bit too much hint. At first I thought I had to go through all three red dot haha.
Thanks for the feedback, we didn't have the time to balance the difficulty but going through all three red dots is a great idea to balance it :)
We have always planned the audio part after the development and the time restrictions prevented us from picking the good audio choices. Picking some SFX to save for the future is a great idea, thanks for the feedback!
Neat idea, though I found it a bit easy, once I understood the rules. Well done
Thanks!
Super unique mechanic! Took me a minute to realize what I was doing but once I did it became a cool puzzle. Not to mention the three different exits added replay ability. Overall, well done!
Thanks!
Nice idea and implementation!
I was pretty confused at first and actually thought the dark areas would be where I moved instead of the light ones, but after I restarted once I understood. I love how you have multiple exits also! Very cool mechanics.
Thanks! The tutorial could have been more clear as you mentioned.
Really fun once i understood what to do!
Thanks!
That’s a neat idea for a game! Right now, there’s not a lot to it, but given the time constraints that’s very understandable and I think this idea might be worth exploring some more. Maybe simple things like reducing the campfire’s light might do the job.
One nitpick I have is that the character feels pretty sluggish to control and I don’t think it fits the game. It feels like immediate acceleration to top speed (or at least almost immediate) would work better here.
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, the difficulty and the movement can be improved.
