Fun and to the point. Would've been cool if there was some combo meter to make players try and cut in line faster, instead of doing the safer strategy of just waiting one by one. Doesn't bog the game down at all though, quickly passing by 5 people in a row was super fun.
This is an excellent idea well executed.
The least fun thing to do for sure, while somehow making it fun to do. I loved the art and the style, the gameplay was fun - when I lost I wanted to try again, so that's a great sign.
The only criticism I have is the jump sound was a little annoying after a while. If you are planning an update after the jam, the only thing I would change is add in a few variations on the jump sound and maybe pitch it lower.
But that's me being nitpick. So far this is my highest score for the jam. Nice work!
Very cohesive aesthetic - the all-blue color scheme was interesting, and the flipping effect on the sprites is really well done. I like the infinite queue and background. It's very seamless. Maybe I'm impatient, but there's something about it that feels a bit too hard? I can't really put my finger on it, so it might just be me. Other than background music/ambient sounds, I don't know if I have any suggestions on what could be done better. Excellent job 🎉
Great execution!!
This felt a lot like those 1 button mobile games, which is a compliment.
Great execution and great fitting for the theme.
I was very lucky and got 45. I wish I had screenshotted it. It's so damn fun to "leap frog" forward skipping multiple in a row. I really love the visual aesthetic with a choice palette. The minimal sound services the concept. Very cute way of flipping the sprites around. I personally would prefer if sprites would not detect you until they have completely finished turning around. Otherwise, it's pretty much a guessing game whether they'll just happen to turn around 10ms before you press the button. If there were some sort of a visual warning like that, even a mere couple hundred milliseconds worth, I could see myself playing this game for up to a half hour just trying to shoot for 100. Promising concept here and nails the theme while still being great fun.
Great game and wonderful presentation! My high score was 24 from playing a handful of times. This game allows us to do what we all want to do when waiting in a terribly long queue but just can't bring ourselves to!
