Really nice idea! Simple and well executed! My only issue was the first time I played it I didn't get the car I needed for a long time and it felt like a lot of down time. I think maybe showing what the next car is going to be would help in planning how to layout cars during the "downtime" between car spawns. Never played a Pico 8 game before! :O

Thanks - the next car prompt is a great idea :)

You must have been soo unlucky on the first go; there’s actually a 50/50 chance that the car matches the one you need until you make it to five points (although I could well have programmed that wrong- 3 hours doesn’t leave much time for debugging :D).

Had a similar idea to this in mind and you made it even better, the art design is sleek and the gameplay is simple but replayable. i like it!

Developer

Cheers :D Glad you had fun with it!

Funny!

If I may, a hint for future games: arrow keys are quite uncommon these days - please allow WASD (or both, so everybody can use the own prefs)

Developer

Thanks.

I know what you mean about WASD (especially in combo with the mouse) - seems to be a limitation of the engine I’m using; maybe there’s a workaround though :D

I had so much fun with this game! I loved the feeling of increasing difficulty due to my lack of storage management haha, reminded me of Tetris! Music could be a nice touch, maybe in a future update!

Developer

Thanks :D

Yeah- music always falls on the wayside with these short jams :(

Really nice game! Feels good to organize stuff.

I think the game could use a bit more intuitiveness tho (like a highlight in a car the player's controlling, stuff like that), as I don't really see an Aesthetical or Narrative reason for not to.

The Level do feel a bit odd as there was aways a bit of an akward free space when I tried parking the cars (may be just me being bad at the game).

Developer

Thanks - glad you liked it.

And yeah, the only reason the car doesn’t highlight is I just didn’t have the time :D

The level design is a bit more intentional though; I wanted to make every move a compromise to keep the player on their toes.

Very good idea and it is well executed.

My score was 11.

I will love to see this game with a little bit of sound, but I know, in three hours, it's the last thing we do.

Thanks - glad you had fun with it :D

Hi there! Loved it! Simplistic, cute, fun and challenging; Only thing I felt was missing was some 8bit retro music :) Great work, hope to see more games from you!

Developer

Thanks :D

Yeah- music is always the first thing to suffer when I hit the time limit :/

Very minimalist, but there's something on it's simplicity I really, really like! Also always happy to see more PICO-8 games. Nice one!

Thanks - glad you had fun with it :D
