You have an interesting core concept that could have used just a little bit more polish. The tacks confused me. I would have liked to see where they were placed (for my own tacks, of course; showing the enemy tacks would take a lot of fun out of it). I would also like a clearer indication of where the opponent(s) are heading. That could even lead to some fun moments of subversion of expectations, where I make moves based on which way the enemy is moving, only to have them suddenly change course! :O
Thank you for the feedback. While I'm not sure I will ever develop this exact kind of game for a Jam or otherwise, I will nevertheless internalize the basic jist of your tips so that all my games may be better!
Also, we are 8 days apart in our registration times on itch. I don't know if that's important, but there we are :)
Wow! We were almost twinsies! That's amazing, what are the odds?
Who even knows!
Nice idea with the staircase, and gives quite a polished feeling for a 3-hour game! I think the menu (vs "campaign mode") was a good choice. The tacks were a bit confusing to figure out, i.e., whether they are time/place dependent.
Yeah, I agree with you about the tacks. I could've added visual feedback or something
This is a really interesting use of the theme, and I had fun figuring it out as I played. Adding the ability to customise the level is a nice touch too.
Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you liked it!
