This has a driving feel but is a song that would not get in the way of the gameplay of an area in the game with this theme. It sets the mood for a bustling market that is busy but not too chaotic. The people chatter ambience is perhaps a little loud as it drowns out some of the musical elements. But I also appreciate you using it as it definitely helps me imagine your city and marketplace much better - I do think that it is funny that it sounds like it’s sped up or a sampling of a bunch of minions when you try to pick out individual voices. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Much appreciated! I actually agree with you about the levels; there's only so much mixing a busy guy can do in three days. But, it's good to hear that the general vision was conveyed.

Very interesting to have highlighted the sound design and atmosphere (which fits the theme very well). The music seems to support the ambience, rather than attracting the ear. It's a bold choice that I applaud!

I could easily hear your composition in a video game.

Thank you!

You definitely have the pinball vibe, as you use actual pinball sounds. I always find that interesting - if people use actual sounds in their songs. Nice of you to sample it and use it to the beat, instead of spread it randomly. Though the start sounds like a typewriter to me xD

I think the song is a bit repetitive for 4 and a half minutes; it would be better if it was a bit shorter imo. But the song is simple and nice. Well done :)

Yeah, sorry about that, at the end I chained it a few times and maybe one time too many!

Love the chattering noises, especially how some of them sound more digital than human, really sells the futuristic city vibe.

Thank you everyone for such polite comments! I have a general rule with any kind of jam, where I push the aesthetics to the point that I get just slightly uncomfortable with them... then I jam it in there before I think better of it. This was one of those cases. It's good to hear that it worked.

I hope to spend some time tomorrow listening to everyone else's submissions! Apparently about half of them came in since the last time I did that.

Your mix and sound design are outstanding, and using that 90s choir rompler sample is a galaxy brain move. I love the music concrete -- it sounds like this isn't your first try with that sort of thing.

I really  love how alive your track sounds, your synth choices and rhythms are excellent also! There is a lot variety too, doesn't get boring or overwhelming.

I like how from the background noise you slowly started adding the actual song on top the beginning. Plus the actual song is really good.

I commend you for incorporating real pinball sounds. My first thought was to do that and slice them up to create a glitchy rhythm a la Aphex Twin (something like Nannou or Yellow Calx), but I didn't have the time/patience (or, honestly, the confidence I could make it work).
