Real neat card game!

The gameplay is good fun and the difficulty is right in the middle of the scale. Aside from that there's nothing much else to say, it's just that well made.

I featured this game in my showcase video right here:
https://youtu.be/PoWrHcmGjbU?t=6948

Oh I forgot to say: I dig the music!

Neatly done gameplay!

I'm not usually into card battlers, but this was actually pretty fun! The concept is solid, and whoever balanced the gameplay did a great job. The art does look a bit rushed, but it has its own kind of charm and I ended up liking it more as it went on (especially the boss sprite). Oh, and the jazz arrangements are some quality stuff. The only bug I noticed during playing was that none of the cards I picked between turns seemed to actually be added to my deck, so I was only just barely able to win with the random cards I was given. It looked pretty janky at first, but playing this was a nice surprise.

It makes you think a lot, its fun to try to dodge and fail miserably, nothing tells you how many hit points the enemies deal to  you, so is hard to know how many dodge you need.

The best part was the "screen capture" boss, thats the pinacle of lulz.

You guys absolutely nailed the gameplay loop and feel of Slay the Spire!

The visuals are super rough, but between MS Paint card art, the enemies and the kooky space backdrop, it comes off as very endearing. You guys played your cards (hah) well!

My only critiques would have to be additional feedback in the UI, it wasn’t super clear how the pigmen stole my spellpower, or how much damage I was actually taking. That and just more polish overall, but I’m sure you guys are aware. Maybe if you want to take the project further?

Otherwise, I had a lot of fun!

I NEED MOAR!

A game with a lot of personality with its gameplay, art and music. Would definitely play again!

When Lunar Index 2 coming out ??

Great music, cool space backgrounds. Gotta love card games with enemy waves

I am a fan of slay the spire, and I have to say you nailed the feel of strategizing which card to play and what card to add you your deck. It even had some synergy  between cards, just wish there are more. Although this game could use some player feedback, especially when player is taking damage. I would wish there are intent indicators on the enemies so I know how much damage I am going to take. The ability to skip cards would be nice too.

Overall decent single player deck builder. Also the jazz music is good.

kinda pretty rad. a bit of bad rng can be dangerous but thats the nature of card games. music is nice and menus are snappy

oh heck yeah card games

As a Slay the Spire fan, I found the gameplay here pretty intuitive, though of course the tough part about card games is balancing the progression. :P I agree with dosei in that some additional feedback / streamlining would be helpful. For example:
* I beat all the enemies turn 1, then no enemies spawned turn 2. This made more sense as I progressed (and also failed to get rid of enemies lol)
* It's unclear what enemies do unless I memorize the instructions (could probably just paint it onto their sprite lol)
* Actions that don't have a target (dodge, draw cards, etc) feel like they'd be more efficient if I could just use them without selecting a target.

also yeah that jazz song is a lot of fun!! gj

I really like this jazzy rendition of the Alice theme especially the licks at the end of the first chorus and the improvisation part. Also, the MS Paint art is pretty funny.

Well the graphics are mostly paint stuff but the gameplay is surprisingly nice after you manage to understand where to click (hard to see until I saw the guide) and even if most actions give little to no feedback. I think the same game with good graphics and UI would work pretty well with the gameplay as it is
