Adapting Touhou into the Risk of Rain style works very well. I appreciated flight being included to immediately begin playing with verticality. There is good variety in the attack types, and the bosses delivered more to deal with. Marisa's Master Spark felt like playing with raw power. Very satisfying. With more time and polish, this could go far. The larger size attacks were lackluster, making switching between the basic shot types not quite worth it on either character. A bit more to see on the levels would make looking for the portal less of a drag. Oh, and the music is some of the best in the jam.

Giant ass Master Spark made me lol.

I only wish there was an indicator to find the gap faster, many fairies on screen slow down the game, so there's that.

I'm much more of a Risk of Rain 2 fan than 1, but I admire the attempt to recreate the series' vibe regardless, and this game did put a very nice Touhou-y spin on the RoR formula regardless. The flying controls were very satisfying; the audio design was very clicky and pleasant, really made fighting feel good; and I love how Shinmy is my aiming reticle, and how she pops out of her bowl when you change shot types. And the costumes for Reimu and Marisa look good.

The boss fights were cool and the second made good use of the theme. I also loved the original outfits for Reimu and Marisa they looked sick.

The game has a fun concept, and it's very well inspired! The music added nicely, and the art was fun to look at.

I only had minimal issues, namely trouble finding the exit, getting occasionally blindsided by a large foe, or seeing some sprite cutoff in the terrain. That aside, I really appreciated seeing the concepts and development notes. It shows how much love went into this game.

I look forward to seeing what else you do together!

Level design is weird because while the gimmick is trying to find the portal as fast as possible so that projectiles dont get bigger,  you dont really have any pointers as to where the portal is. A more linear level with a boss stage at the end wouldve done better.

Aside that, the game is fun. I especially like using marisa's master spark because all the per-frame damage sound is funny.
