Interesting concept and intriguing story, though I think it needs a bit of polish (main things being the UI speech bubbles appearing offscreen / obscured, objectives could've been clearer (the use of the computers, and the voice and text telling you to go opposite directions before then suddenly both telling you to go the same way) & sadly I think the game glitched in the dark room meaning I wasn't able to finish it). Otherwise, cool lil & would be keen to play if there's an update

Hey, thanks for the play! Also thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I had a ton of clues, etc. ready to add into the game, but had a few game breaking bugs I had to fix and then wasn't sure if adding content would be OK. So I'm planning on doing that since it's sitting in a doc here on my PC to help fill out the story. What happened in the dark room? I had a gitch where you could get stuck in the wall from the vessels, but I thought I fixed that. Thanks again!

I like the concept of the character going against the game's instructions. I had trouble figuring out how to open and interact with some doors. It wasn't very clear to me that certain black squares were doors so I would hug every wall whenever I got stuck.

Great feedback! I had door sprites that I just ran out of time to implement. If you were following the Director, most doors should be unlocked and you can use the interact key (E). If you're helping Naomi (which now that I think of it, I'm not sure I ever introduced her) the doors are locked and can only be opened by computers.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I made a huge patch, thanks for the feedback! Doors use a new sprite, also you either need to use computers to open them (although some can use the interact button as well.)

Like the concept for this one and the use of voice-acting vs the in-game text to give different information. However, the game is a little too broken for me to get far, losing control of the character when an objective is complete.

Hope it can be fixed before the end of the rating period so I can give an accurate rating!

Keep it up!

Thanks! The last few days were a blur, so I'll check it out and see if I can fix the issues. Thanks!

Hey, just wanted to let you know I made a huge patch, thanks for the feedback! Made a bunch of fixes and seems to work for me! Please let me know if you have time to try it again and let me know if there are any show stoppers! Thank you so much!

Okay, played the fixed version! Still love the concept and the use of voice-acting! Personnaly, my favorite things in this game is how quickly you get back to the action once you "die". It does not get long to get back to the point where you got caught so you can try again.

I also like the endings! Pretty dark but I think it works well!

If I can still give criticism, I think the game could do with some optimisation, in know it's a big job but the game lagged a couple of times, might be a me issue though.

Congrats on the game!

Developer

hey, thanks man! I appreciate the feedback!!!

Gameplay-wise, it’s interesting that the player’s controls change. But I couldn't complete the game. Bugged transitions between locations where, when moving to the next location, you immediately end up on the trigger of the previous location, and simply cannot pass. And in the dark room above, the robots pushed me into the texture and I couldn’t get out.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll check that part out. When I was testing it the robots always forced me through the door (which is where you want to go) but I must admit, I didn't test the entire game towards the end as I over scoped myself. I'll see if I can fix it and will let you know in case you have time to try it out. Thanks!

Hey, just wanted to let you know I made a huge patch, thanks for the feedback! I fixed that room! Let me know if you have time to try it out again, thanks!

Yeah, I tried it. Now everything is ok with that room. The path with help for Naomi seems more interesting. There are only two endings? Did I miss a secret one?

Developer(+1)

Nope, you got it! Ideally there would be way more conversations between engineers and information on computers giving you information,  but I severely ran out of time. Thanks for checking in out again, I appreciate it!
