Olá Kiti, Bob, Alessandro, Luca e Joby

I really enjoyed playing your game! Next time, I was thinking it would be fun if my team and I tried something endless, like your game. What do you think?

Submitted(+1)

Well, i personaly like making :)and playing(: gameplay oriented games, which are often endless. Also i believe it's easier to make this type of games for a small team. But in the end it's all about your (and your team) preferences, So if you interested it's worth trying as for me.

Developer

Well I wish you luck and I hope to see your team again in another jam. :) Me and a few members of my team are going to give the N64 game jam(https://itch.io/jam/spring-n64-style-graphics-jam-2) a go. I will be trying to learn rigging and animation before the jam. At this rate I will have every role listed for me in future credits. :D

I guess being a one-man band is an essential part of indie gamedev :D
Best of luck with N64 jam

I really liked it!

remember to use visuals to let the player know what they can interact with

I really loved the time clock effect, that was amazing. The gameplay was quite eerie and boring but the audio was really nice to listen to.

On a separate note, we've had some difficulty with programmers leaving the project, which may have affected the overall quality of the game. We're taking steps to address this issue and ensure that our team is more stable moving forward.

Really nice game, the visuals are amazing but the gameplay wasn't very interesting. There were also some collision bugs that I couldn't get past, but overall, great job.

Developer(+1)

The issues with collisions are know and was to do with how our player controller handled slopes as I wanted to solve the issue with players been able to jump up harsh slopes but this was never an issue in our game and we wanted to make our submission in time. over half of the programmers left mid way into the project so a lot of ideas were scraped and the actual puzzle gameplay was made in about 2 days by one person who really saved the project from failing.

I really liked the look of the game. Audio was pretty strong too.  The clock premise reminds me of a game on Steam called Reminiscence, which is free if you've never played it. I have a few notes though:

- Personally, I wish there was a little more substance to it. Once I clicked the first clock (which took forever because there is nothing that would make me think to do that), I started hearing voices. I got excited that things would ramp up, but instead, they almost immediately died down, and the rest of the game was "go here, click this" until it ended.

- The head-bobbing is way too aggressive, It made me feel very sick.

- I kept getting stuck on the staircase near the top. Probably a collision issue.

- There is a door that never opens and is clearly not meant to, but it has no collision, so I accidentally found my way into an empty little room (this does not affect my opinion of the game, just mentioning it in case you want to fix it).

All in all, not a bad first attempt! I like that you kept it small enough to execute. Good luck!

Our team faced a significant challenge at the start of the project. We had big plans for an advanced gameplay experience, but nearly all our dedicated programmers and 3D artists left on the first day, leaving only one programmer and a beginner artist. For over a week, I had to carry the weight of programming and creating most of the graphics. We hit a low point, but we refused to give up.

That's when AleKape introduced us to Baribob, who immediately took charge of the gameplay and menu system. It was a game-changer. With renewed hope and determination, we worked tirelessly to deliver a finished project in time for submissions.

Our team's resilience and spirit in the face of adversity are what inspire me the most. We came together, worked hard, and never gave up. I'm proud of what we accomplished and excited to see what our talented team members will create next.

I really enjoyed the visuals and the audio of your game!  TIP: Make sure you either ClampMagnitude (better for controllers) or nomalize your direction inputs. Cuz if you don't, you end up walking faster in diagonal (if you hold like WD together). Nice attempt on your first game though!

Developer

Thank you for the tip. It was my first time ever making a player controller from scratch. I do plan on remaking the player controller for our next game so your advice will definitely help, Thx. :)

In this thrilling game, you take on the role of a dead detective who's been transported back to the 1950s, reliving your past and solving the murders you were never able to in life. But there's a catch: your soul has been deemed unworthy of both heaven and hell, leaving you trapped in the in-between realm known as Limbo. Now, in order to escape, you must not only crack the case, but also unintentionally alter the past to prevent the murders from ever happening in the first place. Can you navigate this shadowy world and find your way out of Limbo?

Behind the scenes: This was the first game jam project for most of our team, and we managed to complete it in just 2 weeks. Although Gagarin created an enemy ghost, it didn't make it into the final game. Baribob was responsible for designing and creating all the puzzles. As the project leader with no prior experience, I (Kiti) am proud of my team's progress and contribution to the project. We're excited to continue making more games in the future and share our love for the gaming community.
