It's just my opinion, but I really prefer an immediate response when shooting bullets in a first person game. I would have used ray casting instead of collision detection and have no physical bullets at all (just a nice fiery effect on the gun muzzle). It'll be easier on resources too with your high fire rate.

This could be great with more polishing but given the short time, good work !

Hey thanks, I was considering this but ran out of time. I will change this in an update though and have just finished polishing off some parts of thr game and I think it feels a lot more fun to play. I hope you like the next finished version if you play it!

A few things we think could be improved:

  • The enemies have very high poly counts, causing a lot of lag when looking at them on lower end systems.
  • The lack of textures or color on the turrets, floor and wall.
  • The super high fire rate, we suggest decreasing the enemies health, that would allow you to lower the fire rate.

Everything else was great, the models are pretty good, the goal was quite clear and understandable.

Keep up the good work!

Hey thanks!

I was very short on time and wasn’t able to fix all of the errors but I will definitely try to improve the game in all ways that I can and will keep these in mind when improving it. The game jam was very fun and I’m happy I joined!

Thanks again,
