- The choice of art is very interesting, creating a feeling of dread that is fitting to the game idea, which by the way is very creative. The interpretation of the theme is great as well. Regarding the sound it is quite minimal, but it fits the game. It would be good to have some audio hints, both for accessibility and gamefeel. Overall, pretty solid game, I think that there is space to grow it into something similar to a papers please game style.
- Well this entry was a surprise in more ways than one. The sheet volume of consistent art in this put me aback initially, but it is disclosed in your page that they were AI generated. Judging that aspect, the consistent visual identity of the images seem to fit the art direction nicely and it was a creative way to make exactly this type of game, both realistic and unsettling in a very short amount of time, so congratulations. In terms of gameplay it is not my favorite type of game, but I reckon it is well executed and has an audience for it for sure. There were no bugs that happened to me and the idea is solid. Thematically it fits, using the magnifying glass to analyze text elements is a fun unique idea and could be further explored if the developers wanted to. Unfortunately, the entry does falter in the accessibility department as the overly complex look of the images, overall font choice and contrast of text over images makes for a very difficult to read game, something minor but relevant for this jam's evaluation. If the dev want to further improve the accessibility, enable in settings the option for a more simple font to the shopping list and maybe test increasing constrast with the catalog names. Aside from that, crazy good entry, solid atmosphere, eerie and consistantly good looking generated images. Good work.
