Great color scheme and graphics overall. Challenging controls, but that's not always a bad thing. :) Nice job!
Nice game. I like the controls! It is a little challenging at first, but in a good way. It's satisfying to learn how to move your character and raft how you want to. I really loved the graphics being so bright. A small detail that really worked is how you put the score on the back of your boat so you didn't have to glance away from the action. I was surprised when it ended at 20! If you revisit this, I think it would be nice to have an endless mode, I think it would suit it.
I kept passing fish bobbing up and down, wondering how I'm supposed to catch them. Discover I can jump only to dive straight into the water and die. 10/10
The permadeath was punishing at first but I quickly started learning the correct path and it feels like a good level of challenge.
Takes a while to get used to the controls, but it's fun once you get used to it. I do love the art/models, it vibes with me.
Style wise this game is really working for me. I love the vibrant stylized look of it. Mechanically, it took me a sec to adjust to the controls but it has a sort of intentionally hard playstyle that works for the challenge of the game. I found it interesting and fun.
I love the visuals and audio! It is a bit tough to get used to the controls, but after some work, it was fun! I just can't get very far because the rocks seem to spawn too much. Other than that, I liked it!
I was expecting a relaxing fishing game but it's actually a roguelike game.. Hehe.. Real nice graphics and sound effects though. Good Luck on the jam sikgames!
Thanks Dane for the review.
