We're an afterschool enrichment program for high-school and early college developers. Tired of working alone on templates and tutorials? Looking to learn by doing? Want to talk to industry professionals? Interested in an invite-only Discord with structures in place to help you meet your goals?
Think of familiar ways of doing things, familiar people, memes, places, things, game designs. Wizard familiars. This is the overarching theme for the summer. More diversifiers coming First Friday July and August!
Think of mechanic pairings: you can run, but not jump; you can shoot, but not aim; you can quit, but not win. More on the discord discussion.
The full summer theme is revealed as "Familiar but different"! The concept for this is to imagine your gaming experience and to modify the designs that are compelling to you. Take gameplay aspects, iterate on them, and make new games!
Prizes for the game jams are only announced in Discord for members of the program.
All entries will be judged by the general itch.io public, and other participants of the jam, so that includes you!
Your game needs at least 10 ratings in any of the categories to be considered for winning. When you rate a game and leave feedback, they can see your game in exchange. The more games you rate, the more your game will get rated!

After the jam submission deadline, there is a 1 week rating period before winners are announced.
Anything you make during Game Devision jams are your property. Game Devision claims no rights or ownership of your game.
Any game submitted to any Game Devision event may appear in an official Game Devision YouTube video or other published recording without your express permission.
