What is the Gacha Jam?

The Gacha Jam is, well, gacha themed! Instead of the teams being given a theme to base their game around, instead, we will be rolling for three categories (themes, features, and genres) for every team so we'll end up with a variety of unique games! Don't worry, you and your team will get the chance to reroll your unwanted categories up to three times. This entire event will occur on Discord!

How much experience do I need to participate?

None! Game jams are a great way to learn game development and pick up new skills, so everyone is welcome 🥰

GACHA JAM KICKOFF - Friday, August 5th, 5:00 PM PT

GACHA JAM BEGINS - Friday, August 5th, 5:30 PM PT

GACHA JAM ENDS - Sunday, August 7th, 5:30 PM PT (Submissions will close at 5:55 PM PT for a grace period).

GACHA JAM SHOWCASE - Sunday, August 7th, 6:00PM PT

Will games be ranked?

Games will not be ranked on itch.io, but feel free to rank your game first in your heart 🥇💖
