Strong direction! Would love to see what a potential full game would look like

I love it!

  • Really liked that I could compose my own music!
  • Could totally see how could attach different instruments to Harmy to get bonus effects when attacking, defending or moving. Or perhaps you can get different effects based on the sequence of notes used.
  • Wasn't really clear to me that the bottom row was the one that influenced whether you would get extra damage.
  • Very nice pixel art. Would be nice to see the instruments on Harmy being animated as your music plays.
  • Loved the fallen dragon at your main menu screen, was hoping to see it ingame.

Great job! Very nice concept that you could expand into a full game.

Cheers,

Rob

  • Not sure where I needed to interact [ENTER], did I miss something? I just bumped into everything.
  • Didn't know what to do in the lab. I suddenly got transported a new screen where I had to collect the parts again. I did that, went to exit and the game restarted. Never got to see my friend with a body :( Not sure what I needed to do there.
  • The arcade room glitched when walking back into it and I was able to walk outside the room.
  • One tip: if you move down to go to a  next room, then it is convenient if in the next room you can continue going down. This was not always the case and I got transported back to the previous room as I kept pressing the key.
  • The rest felt very complete for a Game Jam. Good how you added directions to the rooms and hints by the friend what to collect.

Cheers,

Rob

  • I like the concept of collecting resources through rewards by fighting enemies.
  • Choosing between 3 locations is nice to let players strategize.
  • The icon of the crafted item is/seemed the same as the resources used for it. That made it appear that nothing actually happened. Perhaps a simple colour change of the crafted item is enough to indicate a positive result.
  • The difficulty jump from the 4 crows to 30 octopuses was a bit too much :) The game did not give me enough feedback to how much I needed to improve to continue. So that is where I quit. Perhaps damage/health numbers could help here.

Cheers,

Rob

This feels very cozy and magical! I see a lot of potential! I hope the dev will keep working at it!
