I must confess I wasn't immediately compelled to play after seeing the main menu (and recieving the same crash as Ebbasuke did), but I'm glad I did. Hidden within the Letter House icon was a vivid journey into the lives of multiple soulful objects. I really loved how you utilized word art within the dreams to showcase how the different magical objects cried their thoughts. It was really drawn in and can't wait to hear more of Crystal's story!

This was surreal! The art style fits the weirdness going on, but some of the scenes need a warning for flashing images. I liked the subtle animations, they worked well for the story.
I tried originally to play this through the Itch app, but it wouldn't launch. When I downloaded it, it started up ok. However, when I went to the Preferences from the Main Menu and tried to go back, Ren'Py sent me this error. It didn't stop me from playing the game though.
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. Dang, I was just getting into it! This is a super intriguing story. I liked the world (sentient tarot decks! People named after typefaces!) and the epistolary parts really piqued my interest. I felt like I was just beginning to piece it together and really wanted to know what happens next! The visuals weren't always effective, though--the digitally drawn parts tended to stick out a lot. If you have the chance to work with an artist on the full game, I'd recommend it, because a good story deserves equally good art.
Oh man, I love surreal stuff, so this was right up my alley, especially with the dreamscape sequences which were beautifully done :3 I really like what you've done with the quotes on the title screen too! That's such a cool idea. There's so much to unpack in this even if it is a demo. I don't want to say any spoilers, but the sense of foreboding was so great that when I reached the part that said it was the end of the demo and to check back on itch in a few days, I was like, whaaaaat? Nooo T_T You can't end it here x3 So I guess I will have to be patient and check back! Haha.
