It's a COVID-aware story! Compelling and well told; puts me in mind of Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson, but with a super creepy supernatural vibe (love the snakes). The sprites are really endearing and I got very attached to the characters. Things like the mosquito on the text box were a nice touch. I thought the sprite animations were excessive at times, though, when it's things like Magdalena carrying Selah and you can just see the flat bottom edge of the sprite. That's a really small thing though.

Fantastic animations with the sprites! Pacing matches the suffering of the times :c

Hi Morphi,

We're delighted you enjoyed the animations with the sprites, our talent programmers Donnn, Tsunami and PJ will love hearing your feedback.  The sprites were done by the very talent Fungii.  The process from sketching, lineart, colouring and shading was truly masterful for sprites.

Thanks for commenting on the pacing, usually us writers don't get much in the way of feedback as the visuals tend to dominate, so really nice of you to say.

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!

Kind regards

Lila

Hello! It seems I can't download your game. Can you check it, please?

Edit: It works! It seemed I can only download it from the web because there aren't assigned OS for the files so the app won't let me download it.

SPOILER: I like the character spirits moving around when they do something, it makes them feel alive and the voice actors/actresses really did a great job to make the character even more lively.  The story itself is sad and angsty rather than spooky, I almost cried in some moments.

I don't know if it was a mistake, but I encountered a loop once when I chose to not follow doctor's advice, I ended up burying Selah twice www

Anyway, I love Mine's song, I don't understand the lyrics, but I love it <3

Hi Ei Kitara,

Sorry about the download issues.  Thanks for persisting and downloading via web instead.  Interesting about the loop, as you should only have to bury Selah once.  We'll look into it as the dev team.

Ah, Minerva's song was wicked fun to write.  It's a nonsensical song, i.e. made up words and gibberish, but Tabetha McNeal, voice actress sang it so well, with such passion, it brought brief respite to otherwise dark times.

Thanks for playing, hope you liked it!

Kind regards

Lila
