Proud to say I got all the endings >:3c

Think my favourite part of the game was definitely how well done the POV swaps were done. I'm easily disoriented sometimes when a game has so many swaps but to see everything from the victim's POV back to dad's inner monologue in that order was a great design choice.

And oh- the main menu changes were an AMAZING touch! Didn't like how both of them were looking at the me at the end with a 'busy kitchen'- but I couldn't look away lmao. Thank you for this experience and I'm so proud of ya!

This was excellent, loved the all endings achieved playthrough! 100% Such a cleverly told story. Great job!

Loved unlocking the 4th ending with the switch of POV it was very fun and interesting also I liked the little transitions with the magic powers!

I enjoyed finding all the endings and even got ending 3 first try! I was proud of myself afterwards. I like the world building. His powers are illusions and can even be lethal? Interesting. But a few of the deaths were by stabbing... Would love to see this fleshed out if you ever get the chance.

A tidy and entertaining little package! I loved that the perspective for the player was not that of the killer, but still had me immediately looking for what answer would benefit him over his hapless victims. Did not see the fantasy element coming, either! Lots of fun; well done!

So cool! I love all the different little stories and the achievements to guide you to different endings. And then after you get the main four it's a whole 'nother thing! Haha this was really fun! I liked the sparkly suit, although always having to clean the blood out of it must be a big pain, especially if you don't have any more janitors around...

I liked the hinting at fantasy elements beyond the serial killer forefront.  Also, I am ashamed at how quickly I got the lady killed.  Walked right into that trap.  xD

A fun concept, executed well! The framing gives a nice levity to everything, and the snippets of lore throughout are nicely laid out - well done, and congrats on the solo dev!

This had a campy you-tell-horror-stories-by-the-firelight feel to it, which was great! Good job!

Oh no i decided to fight with my balls and...

Nice one!

Good story! I liked it a lot. The naming for the ui is unique which i like, however, naming quite "done" is a bit misleading when you go into the config thinking that pressing done would save the settings but then the game closes :p. I get the choice of not having names for characters, but at the start i had trouble knowing who's who. I kinda like the shortness of it, means I could unlock all the endings real quick, good replayability!

Developer

renaming 'quit' was a struggle but maybe i should've workshopped it more

or i can try to hide it in the config menus. thanks for telling me! i guess browser version wins by not having the option to quit at all

Glad you liked it! ✧

i mean since its themed around the stories of the father. It could be something more related to it. I guess done works but maybe something that doesn't implay other things. I only gave it like a few seconds of thought but gpodbye comes to mind or just go with something else with finish dinner?

I like the atmosphere and the overall idea of messed up family (don't like romanticized killers though but I really liked story with creepy kid, maybe that's my kind of these). I unlocked all ending and really freaked out when they looked at me.

I think it would be good if stories were a little longer but idk

Developer

yeah the stories really are super short admittedly, but any attempt to make them longer felt like dragging them out, which I thought would be worse, so lesser evil it was

'romanticized', huh?.. I can't stop anyone from seeing it as such, but the word feels ill-fitting to me. oh well. thanks for commenting! it'd be useful to know in the future

I'm SO happy everyone's finally reacting to a changing title screen in my game for once :D

Sorry if it sounded like reproach.

As for making stories longer, I can see it like going deeper in backstory and desires of characters for each one and trying to immerse player into ones. Your game actually does it partially but not enough for player to start feeling disgust, hatred or pity

But maybe it'd be really look like dragging them out, idk

Developer

nonono no need to apologize, this is all useful feedback!

thanks again!

thank you so much!

This VN has some good dark humour.  It's also very easy to get compelled to replay to get all the endings, due to its short length (I got all four!).  The story doesn't necessarily go that deep, but for the time constraints, it does what you'd expect.  The CGs are a great touch too.

Developer

thank you! phew the achievement screen did its job... the hardest part during testing (on my siblings, as one does) was to get them to replay, so very happy to know that was solved

Hehe yes definitely a replayer for sure!
