Decent Concept, but lacking in the game design and control method aspect, very creative to make a gravity based sort of mechanic but somethings off
Hey! I made a video of the top ten games from this jam. You should check it out!
[Spoiler alert, this game is in it :) ]

Great Game, the mechanics are pretty creative but I've had some trouble with it, like when the arrow was just facing down on the planet i had no idea what to do. I also loved the addition of the mini map, so that i know exactly where to go!
the art is just magnificent, i also loved how to music sped up when i got fast!
Cool game, it feels very good moving so fast between planets even if I never got to the end.
I got stuck one time in a planet where my character faced inward and stop moving or rotating.
I feel like having the rotation / facing reset upon entering the orbit of a planet could have improved this aspect. Anyway good job! If you like, try out my entry too!
Simple and beautiful, probably my fave game I have played so far. The simple mechanic has so many layers with the mechanics, the different gravity levels, using the momentum of the central black hole to slingshot yourself. Very good.
My only pet peeve which isn't even a serious complaint is that the random rotation of your character, does make it feel like there is a fair bit of RnG on each run. And you can get quite unlucky with your positioning, which doesn't feel like the players fault.
Imo giving some control or making it more predictable where the character is going to point after each launch would make the game feel more fair and Foddian, as every mistake would be the player fault for not reading the world or using the mechanics correctly.
However, I might just be dumb and not realise how it works, if so ignore me.
But again really well done :)
Great game! I like the overall space theme and background effect with the stars going towards the center. Its definitely a tough game and fits the jam theme really well where I felt I was getting better at launching the ship/ball the more I played of it!
Very good game although a bit complicated in the final phase
This game is delightful!!
The sound design is unlike anything I've played before, it just elevates this game so much.
I think others said it but my only gripe is that the game sometimes punishes you for aiming directly at a planet, which can be a little disappointing when its part of the main objective it feels like.
Thanks for playing! Glad to hear it!
Agreed, we made the wrong design decision, as it ended up feeling more random than difficult! We'll definitely be updating it. Thanks!
I played that game for entirely too long haha
Just the right balance of fun/infuriating.
You hit the foddian nail on the head.
My only piece of feedback would be some kind of indicator to show the direction of the black hole. It's very easy to lose track of.
Great game!
Thank you very much for playing and the feedback!
Such an indicator is a great idea!
Wonderful music and great concept, tho I could not make it very far at all. Usually my ship would point into the planet I landed or spin uncontrollably. Love the music changing pitch as you go and the art!
Thank you for playing! "It seemed like a good idea at the time"
Playtesting has definitely made us rethink our design decision! We'll be adding some help when stuck pointing at the planet after the jam!
LMAO totally get that feeling!
Played for about 12 minutes, got relatively far but got stuck between two asteroids (that didn't had gravity) and wasn't able to continue.
Solid and fun entry to the jam! I liked how there is a natural comeback mechanic when you miss a planet when you are far from the blackhole, because you start orbiting with a lot of speed and you can hope you'll not end up at the beginning. Two thing I wasn't too keen on:
- The player's angular velocity. A lot of times the direction I ended up orbiting a planet was pointing inwards, and this automatically kill the chance of making progress. I had to launch myself into the planet and just hoped for the best after colliding with it (this usually meant the ship would fall all the way back to the beginning).
- Changing the pitch of the music with the distance. I liked the idea and I loved the game Aesthetics! But changing the pitch on small intervals causes some weirdness feelings with the audio to me, like it was wobbling from low to high pitches when you're at high speed. I liked the music enough that I wish I could just chill and listen to it hahaha.
Pretty good game!
Thanks for checking it out! That's so sad to hear, we implemented a feature that should "pop" the player if stuck, but it's a little iffy at times.
We appreciate the feedback! The number one request is what you said about pointing inwards, we'll be updating after the jam!
The game is fun, took a while to beat. When the launch direction is towards the planet or especially when it is rotating uncontrollably it's a bit frustrating. Otherwise very fun and the sound effects are cool.
Thank you for playing! We'll be updating that mechanic for sure, so it feels a bit more fair.
I liked the game, the player’s launch direction is seemingly random but I think it is possible, 9/10
Thanks for playing and the feedback! We're going to try to add a little balance after the jam so it feels more fair.
a very good game!
Thanks for giving it a go!
a very good game!
Really interesting concept! I liked a lot of the execution. I would echo some of the feedback regarding the seeming randomness of the player's facing, which could feel a bit (too) tedious. But overall, a really fun movement concept, and I was really impressed the way it still feels very Foddian despite having such a unique system!
Thank you for the pointer! It's our number one feedback, so it's something we'll update after the jam.
Thanks for playing!
This jam was about making a generally unforgiving game with no real checkpoints, and has a constant threat of losing huge chunks of progress. My friend, you have done exactly that.
The music changing with the distance from the black hold, the ability to automatically get unstuck (when stuck between two rocks), and the perfect use of gravity. You attention to detail was impeccable and the flow of the game is immaculate. Well done.
Thank you so much! I'm glad someone saw the "unstick" mechanic work!
Thanks for playing!

DUDE. From the second the music began shifting with the first hop, all kinds of happy chemicals are going off in the brain. The movement is sublime in its execution, the flow from planet to planet is addictive, and the musical shift when you (inevitably) fall back is comforting in some strange sense. I found this one spot on the map with a twin planet setup, and must admit I just watched it go for much longer than I had planned lol.
This is fantastic. Y'all should be rightfully proud of it:)
Many thanks! The whole map is hand crafted, so I'm glad you got to explore! It's fun (and weird) when two of the planets are together or orbit each other. Thanks for playing!
Just completed the game, absolutely loved how the movement felt! It does sometimes feel like you don't have much control though, such as when you land on a planet and your arrow is "tidally locked" to facing the planet. Also it might've just been my playthrough but I found that the game gets easier the further you get away from the black hole, which is a bit odd in terms of balance. Still, this was a super satisfying game to play and I'm proud to say I got 3rd on the leaderboard (excluding the two times that were 0 and 2 seconds respectively, which I assume were for testing)!
Well done on the leaderboard! Thanks for playing and the feedback! The chance to allow an inward facing launch was a design mistake, (it's our number one feedback on mechanics) and we'll fix it after the jam. As for the balance, that's good to know, we'll check it out!
Everthing except the gameplay is great. The player controlled thing can get stuck on a small rock, it can start spinning or face towards a planet, and this almost always results in a failed attempt. In my opinion, it's a game of chance.
Thanks for playing and your feedback! We want to fix the extra spin/facing the planet mechanic as it can feel unfair.
