Welcome to the first semi-annual CS Hangout Server programming event!  This no-frills game jam will run from December 20, 2021 through January 23rd, 2022, so get ready to bring forth your creativity!

THE THEME IS: FAILURE

Participants will have one month to create a game around a theme that will be announced on the first day of the jam.

Our main objectives for this event are:

  1. Enhance our community to encourage and support the development of real-world development experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting.
  2. Establish, implement, and refine a framework on which we can iterate and improve for future events.
  3. Foster the development of student and professional connections to provide our community with additional support upon graduation.

With these goals in mind, our format has been created to be as inclusive to as many lifestyles as possible.

For this first event, the moderation team will be judging the projects and awarding prizes. As we move forward into future events, we will be implementing a voting period during which participants will be able to vote.

Speaking of prizes, we will be providing prizes for various categories. The categories and prizes will be revealed in the days leading up to the event. We encourage all participants to submit their work, even if unfinished. Being “finished” is not a pre-requisite to receiving a prize.

Good luck!
