I haven't played this game, and I somewhat doubt that I'll ever manage to coerce any of my friends to play it. Nevertheless, I think everyone should read it, especially if you're a game designer.
It is an anarchic, poetic and artful book, that challenges you deeply on the entire framework of what a roleplaying game can be. Every time I take a look at it, I find some new amazing detail that I can hardly believe has been conceived and put on a page.
i only played early spring and just got my second spell book entry.
with simple journaling games, i tend to overthink, try to tell a specific story, get anxious about how much i write and tbh most times i am not able to enjoy myself.
This game is not exactly rules-light (in comparision to the simple journaling games) and i have to look them up A LOT because it can be much and confusing in the beginning, but i think when i progress into summer i will get a better grip on them.
it is designed with love and care and definitly worth the price. looking forward for other publications from this studio!
