Really interesting adventure location with a unique economy and culture. Would love to see some more details about the village itself (I'm a sucker for a good map!)

I'm working on the map and some illustrations for the final version.

Pros:

  • I really like the setting. Seems fun and easy to incorporate anywhere
  • Random tables are always fun - encounters, rumors, hooks. Good stuff
  • Grub -> Nymph -> Cicada is slick

Cons:

  • I’d like to see a map! Or a description of where things are in relation to one another
  • Maybe detail the blood nymphs a bit more in relation to how terrible it is for surface dwellers? Or maybe a hook where the local city-state has made a deal for blood nymphs to be transported to an enemy? Sounds like a fun plot hook

All in all it’s fun and I like it! Good job :)

I'm going to be adding more for the final version (a map and some art). I also liked the idea of leaving it simple and open so DM's could use it as they wished and they and their players could also fill in the gaps.

Really oddly adorable and unique, seems like a great place to visit, and I love the adventure hook of "these monsters are also part of the economy/lifecycle of this town." I kinda want to hear more specifics about how this town reacts to outsiders and/or what outsiders they're already dealing with. (There's a lot of stuff on that topic, like the goblin just asking the PCs how big they are, but I want even more.)

I wanted to keep it more open ended so DM's and their players could roleplay it out as to what worked for their campaign. I thought a few notable NPCs/encounters to run the spectrum: friendly, wary, aggressive, etc.
