Cool game! I liked the atmosphere and the monster looked great. I also thought the music and sound design worked well. Good job! :D
Thank you!
running could be a bit fast paced and ui design could be improved that's it. Improving these can make a chef's kiss
thanks
Reminds me of those parts of Dark Souls and soulslikes where' you're navigating decrepit medieval ruins and come across an enemy that's way too strong for you so you just have to run. I ended up finding the monster in the end and hightailing it to the cemetery to exorcise him. Agree with other comments that the next step could involve thinking about how to make player interaction with the monster and the world more in-depth. I note that heaps of hands were on deck for this one, so hope you had a really fun time making the game - I enjoyed being chased in it!
First of all, thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it
On player-monster interactions, we definitely had plans to have more mechanics and interactions but as is the nature of game jams, time was a limited resource and unfortunately, we couldn't manage to get it all in
It still was a very fun experience, however!
A.I. does need some work, it attacked me once and then it just completely ignored me, even walked in front of it and they just acted like I wasn't there.
The city and atmosphere was really eerie and enjoyable. I liked taking a walk througout the map.
The monster is looking super good, itβs really impressive to say the least. Its AI is the biggest flaw of the game I think (itβs super hard to make a good AI thatβs hard but not too harsh for the player).
I think you could improve what you have by :
Great submission nonetheless, congrats!!
Thank you for playing! I appreciate the suggestions as well
Being honest I kinda just walked straight to a graveyward and got a purple I won screen lol. Maybe the AI needs to be made more aggressive or something. Visually Iβm inbetween, the models look pretty nice and HD but the environment is a bit rough and empty like a retro game so it felt a bit off walking around. Maybe could have helped shrinking the whole place a bit and commiiting to one vibe to reduce the empty space, the scales were also huge.
Looks like there was some cool stuff made and good effort put in but I think right now it needs some little tweaks so people can experience the cool idea you got better.
I died several times until I managed to take my first steps. But I thought the idea was really cool. I'll try again as soon as I have more time.
Great game! Monster looked really creepy on the screenshots but I couldnt find it in the game sadly :( Good job with the game!
Thank you for giving it a try anyway! He's out there patrolling the map if you can find him!
I'm amazed at the quality that an HTML build can have running on itch. Graphically, looks like a professional older game, really cool. Did you guys do anything to make this game more manageable for processing?
Some pointers:
- I played twice but didn't run into the monster.
- The sprint button allows you to drain your sprint if you're not moving.
Cool visuals and ambience. I'm inspired to go crazy on my next HTML game.
Thank you for playing! Yeah we've definitely learned a lot already about the monster's location, unfortunately, time ran out on us so some of those issues became bigger than intended
As far as the build goes I'm glad it works well on itch but I couldn't give you a very good answer as far as processing goes cause all I did was press the web build button in Unity π
I think the creature lost his glasses
I didn't meet the creature, but I found the angel :). I would have liked an extra mechanic or two, but good job finishing.
thank you for playing!
