Played through to the end -- liked the 3D atmosphere, although the briefness of it makes it a bit hard to get a handle on where you were going with the concept.
As a heads up, I had some /major/ performances issues on my machine (not a topline gaming PC, but optimized for 3d gamedev all the same). I haven't had any issues with other (larger) UE games this jam so I wonder if there's something weird going on.

Unless you set up a settings screen yourself, Unreal decides which graphics to run the game automatically depending on your hardware. Let's just say it doesn't work well when you use the latest stuff like Lumen/Nanite. Not many assets in scene as well. I enabled raytracing as well for supported systems, maybe thats why you had performance issues. You are right, it's too brief even to be called a concept. It's going to be a game where you will sit on edge both in 2D and 3D world, there won't be a fade-in/out of the 2D game. In any case, thank you so much for playing it! Please check out my latest concept game as well https://oluinek.itch.io/interrogation-room-ai
That's true and I appreciate it! Thank you for giving it a shot and leaving a comment. I will do my best to improve upon it. Please check out my latest concept game as well https://oluinek.itch.io/interrogation-room-ai
I knew it would be hard to find that "where to click". Initial plan was to add an intro scene where she says that she found this old game in her attic and decided to play it for nostalgia. She says that she used to love Scooby Doo as a kid and that she always wanted to be part of the Mystery Gang. She says that she hopes the game is fun and not too scary, but well no time left... Thank you for the feedback! I hope you enjoyed it. And I will try to lighten up the scene a bit more.
Thanks for playing :)
Absolutely!
I've been struggling to find an artist to assist me, as many are requesting around a thousand USD just to create the characters in pixel art form. However, I'm currently attempting to design them myself. Here's a little sneak peek for you! I'm also considering removing the "fade in" transitions to improve the overall experience. Initially, I implemented camera streaming for a more immersive feel, but it negatively impacted player performance (reducing FPS by at least 10-20). As a result, I decided to remove it. How was your FPS during gameplay?
Love it! (The character) :D Yes, I know the character prices are high! The prices are inaccessible for me, so I basically go to free stuff or I do it myself in Blender. I don't know how to draw, but I am decent in 3D (Don't know why).
My performance was OK during all game. Didn't have any problem playing your game.
Where is the promised jumpscare? ๐ก
. . . now im sad ๐ญ
No need to apologize! I'm glad you brought it up. I'll make sure to double-check the descriptions in the future to avoid any confusion. In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed the experience without the jumpscare, and I'll be sure to include one if it's promised next time! Thanks for your understanding and happy gaming! ๐
