You did something : creating a creepy atmosphere in the first seconds of gameplay, unfortunately, you did nothing with, the game consists of collecting and reading notes, there's no scary events happening except some door closing behind you and I got no clue what to do after going to the basement.

It really feel like a missed opportunity in his current state, but I think you can expand upon it and make something great !

I had a blast getting to play it and hear my audio! Exciting for a first time Jammer!

This is SexiQT69XO by the way

A great start here for sure! Awesome atmosphere in the textures, colors, music, everything really! I loved how a lot of the level is based on that saturated green and then you have special objects like the red door to really pop out with contrast. Intentional or not, the layout of the house also adds to the uneasiness. Things are weirdly spaced out (living room, hallways to basement door) or tightly contained (bedroom) which is subtly uncomfortable (to me at least). I also liked the car just sitting in a normal room. I'm assuming you ran out of time to make a garage but I like the fact that it's just sitting on the ground floor closed off. Lot of potential to make something surreal and truly scary, I hope you continue working on this!

I think I reached the end -- the music changed, anyway. It's too bad about the technical difficultes with the conclusion, as I was enjoying the story, especially the last message. Mouse sensitivity was definitely high but I had no problem with the lighting. Also I'm not sure if the door autoclosing was intentional or not but it creeped me out.

Developer

the door closing is intentional, but I also planned a game over screen or message and a way to close the game.

I was blind. I love the sounds and I tried playing through it, but I legit was just looking for glowing stuff I could see like doors or white marks on the screen

Developer

I need to add a brightness option somehow. I built the game for MY monitor and MY mouse settings. I need to make sure it’s playable for everyone and not assume everyone’s monitor is the same as mine.

i mean my eyes suck too. I have a hard time with contrast. I think the idea behind darkness is for limited sight so flashlights are super common, but like the part of sight you do have should be easy to see right. 2 games here so far have had really nice close your eyes mechanics that felt pretty decent.

Developer

No the game is too dark. The screenshot I uploaded looked fine on my PC monitor,  but on my phone it’s very dark.

For me, it worked well enough.  Perhaps the mouse sensibility was a little too high, and that made me a little dizzy.  The ambient was a little too dark on my screen, so I couldn't see more than shadows for the house.  Put a little control panel to adjust settings and expand the story.  The mood is good!

Developer

It might be frame rate related. For me the mouse sensitivity was how I expected, but maybe if I locked the frame rate it would be consistent for everyone.

Real shame that game has technical difficulties, because I  felt tension and story was interesting. I really see potential for captivating and scary game!

Yeah, I wish I had a bit more time. I feel bad the music that was made didn’t get to be in a complete game.

Should be fixed now.

I had to take my eyes off the screen, great atmosphere!

Holy cow, why did I participate in a Horror Game Jam again?

and (The fridge does not have any collision)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I didn’t realize all the assets I imported in didn’t have colliders on them.
