wooooow! It's amazzing! what do you make to get those graphics??
Cool entry! The concept of having your eyes closed while walking through the office really builds up some tension. Sadly the repetition of dying really quickly and having to start over was something got frustrating really fast. But the visuals and audio is really amazing. Nonetheless a really cool entry. Good job! :)
I wasn't able to get far at all personally, but it was a cool concept if frustrating for me. I'm simply not good at horror games. Was too scared top open my eyes much and walked right into it anyway. The background sounds really had me on edge.
This is one of the most unique mechanics I've seen so far in the entries that I've played, and I think it works really well! :3 I thought that being forced to only take glimpses of your surroundings in order to stay safe was pretty neat + really ramped up the tension! Combined with the music, SFX, and aesthetics it made for quite a creepy + tense experience :D
I thought the eye close/open mechanic was so cool that I immediately started showing my brother, who is in the room with me right now, and he agrees that it's a funky feature :3
PS. Is it a demonic office chair? :o That's what I thought it looked like while I was trying to take quick looks at it. If it is, that's just awesome as a creature design!
Glad you enjoyed! I was the one on our team that designed the βoffice chairβ demon lol. I wanted to make it fit with our setting and felt like a chair was a perfect original idea (it did get me out of having to animate legs). Never really worked on a horror game before this so Iβm happy you like it!
Well I thought it was a really cool creature design! It actually terrified me having that thing speed towards me xD
I was surprised how it works in the browser, I really liked the mechanism of opening my eyes.
Loved the vibe and the experimental idea at the core of the gameplay. No bugs as far as I could tell and it had a polish most of the other games I've played didn't. Great work!
I would love if you keep developing and extending the game, the aestethics are pretty good both with the horror feeling of being chased and hace to manage my vision, great work uwu
good art style and game play! however, i struggled looking around when having my eyes opened, dont know if this is a bug in the browser version, or just me being inept?
You might be experiencing lag that is causing the mouse input to jump around. We have experienced lag in Chrome with the browser version if we didnβt have hardware acceleration turned on, so try changing those settings. Otherwise, the standalone download is always more stable.
Please make a full post-jam version, this is really cool!
creepy!
Really digging the artstyle on this one! And that title screen music is a bop.

Very Clever and Atmospheric
Great game! I didn't make it very far, but I think the main mechanic is very interesting. The sound design and aesthetics are also very nice. Good game!
Prety nice aesthetics, you totally delivered a horror experience. The first time I ran into the monster I jumped a little from the scare.
I really liked this unique concept! And the graphic retro style is well made, it goes the same for the sound design!
However, I think that the enemy attack is too punitive, that makes the game hard.
Overall, nice work!
I really like this, I think the sound design and the look is wonderful. Consider putting in somelight UI stuff to make it clear if the player is walking into a wall/obstacle? Like some sort of white fade on the sides of the screen that shows up when you collide with something. Also perhaps an option to toggle sight on/off instead of keeping in pressed down? Though I do like how it's harder to do things when you have your eyes open, making another reason to keep them closed.
Played this through! Really liked how everything was rendered. And the mechanic feels unique.
Good game! fun mechanic that fits the horror theme nicely
Man I love this type of game! Nicely done. I'm just curious, what shader did you use for the ambient? (pixelated effect)
Thanks! We used a render texture with a script that downscales the camera viewport at runtime, also with lots of fog and post processing.
