Great game i love the atmosphere and the concept of the game it also gives me a few phasmophobia vibes because of the talkbox thingy

WOW! What a game man! Ranked 1 for horror, congrats.

Now that gives a good scare! I really loved the atmosphere and the concept of the game.

This was good, the running one scared me the most.

Impressive work!

For a game made in 10 days this is fucking awesome !

Keep up the good work and hope to see more of you !

Pretty sure this one could place in this jam. IMHO anyway. Good stuff, I got pretty into it ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘

VA was good, but the jumpscares were cheap.

I love this sort of game :3 I'm huge on horror, but suck at anything where I actually have to defend myself in some way, whether that be through combat or stealth xD If there is a life bar, I use cheats, haha. I just prefer to be able to experience a story + scares without other stuff getting in the way.

Double thumbs up for the voice acting! I'm a huge fan of voice acting in general, so it was cool that this had it :3

Asylum type settings tend to be one of the settings that set me on edge more than others for some reason. I don't tend to jump at all when watching horror movies or going to live scare attractions, but video games generally do get me, haha. I had a feeling something in this would get me, and I was right! It was the fleshy woman that ran at me when I opened a door xD I can't really put my finger on why that was the only one that got me, because the other scares were pretty creepy too. Maybe it was cause I was anticpating them? I dunno!

Anyways, it was fun to play through :3 The last section reminded me of real life scare attractions with the narrow corridors + strobe lighting type effects :D Man, I'm missing scare attractions so much this year T_T can't go to any cos of the virus! Which is why I actually had time this year to participate in this :3

Well done, I enjoyed this so much. VA was amazing.

Pros and cons are down below) Check out my vid here (likes and subs are higly appreciated)):

Advantages:

1. The game was very scary! I think the created ambiance was impecable, the pacing was good and the sound desogn was great as well making the whole experience chilling and creepy.

2. The voice acting just OMG. I did not expect that and that was a very nice surprise. Sometimes fully-fledged high-budget games don't have that voice acting. It was very good and immersive and believable. I enjoyed that a lot.

3. The story was great. Every little detail in the environment made sense and added to the story. I think a great story can make the game a lot scarier and this was the case for me.

Disadvantages:

1. Some of the scares are expected. During my gameplay I even pointed out some predictable moments but it's still ok to include them and use them as the game had so many unexpectable ones as well.

2. I think that the ghost's model wasn't as effective as intendent. Don't get me wrong, it was creepy but upon editing, I got the idea that the intent was to attract attention to the lack of eyes. Well, I didn't even notice that playing the game. I think the game might benefit from highlighting this detail a bit.

3. Chase scenes didn't seem as thretaning as they were intended to. I don't think that intese music was enough in this case, I would suggest adding a situation when main characted actually can die during these chase scenes.

Overall:

I think this was wonderful! I enjoyed every second of the game. I am very sorry for comparing it to phasmophobia a lot but I think that phasmophobia could actually learn a lot about story-telling from this game) If I could rate it (though I can't as I haven't submitted anything to the jam myself), I would rate the game 5/5 in all categories. This was insane, great job!

Hope my feedback was useful!

Scary game, really good game!

This may win :)

Amazingly well done! You guys get my highscore for the Jam. Great asset production, sound design and direction. A good balancing of boring me, scaring me, and giving me chuckles. Reminded me of a classic real life horror house experience.

This game was pretty great! Although there were a lot of moments where I felt like I was just waiting to be scared, rather than running from a monster or not knowing what's around the corner. Loved the camera tricks.
