fun game, I got 8th place. a little slow paced and it ramps up in difficulty from 1 to 283794 20 minutes into the game for no reason, but I enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for zombie games

Developer(+1)

It's probably something to do with spawn speed, but we did want to have a fast game cycle so the ramp in difficultly was one of the ways we could've achieved that. I am glad you like our game!!!!

It took me a second to realize that I could move haha. Played for the first like 3 minutes standing still but that's my bad for not reading lol. I had fun playing this! As I progressed and there were more monsters it was pretty satisfying being able to knock out a bunch at once with the upgrades.

Developer(+1)

That was the main game feel we were going for. I'm glad our game was satisfying to play.

Good game! I had a lot of fun, and the monsters are charming. I agree with what other people said about speed.

Developer(+1)

We're working on a speed fix, I appreciate ya for playing our game. Glad you had fun!!!!

Killed all the creepy bois, until i didn't... Fun game!

I agree with @Alimen6, a boost in movement would improve the intensity and add to the overal chaos. You could make the speed boost stackable, less effective and permanent; Make people find their optimal speed. Oh and I liked the sound design, really got me in the zoneeee.

Good luck!

Developer(+1)

We are concepting ideas about a movement upgrade system right now. We're glad you loved our game!!!!!

Interesting concept, similar to what we chose to do, although I think that some variance in player and enemy actions would make it more engaging as time goes on.

Developer(+1)

We do have 5 enemy types, along with mutations of each type. We will take that into account though!

Your game also looks sick by the way!!!!

Very cool idea!

The enemy design is very cool, and you have quite a large variety. It feeds pretty well into the mutation theme, which I like a lot. Overall the aesthetics are very well done, I have no feedback here!

Gameplay wise, I agree with other comments. It could've been cooler if the game was a bit faster paced. At the start of the game it feels a bit slow, since you can't move too fast and finding enemies takes a while. I could sit comfortably in one place without moving up until about 3k score, at which point I had to start running, and then I noticed how slow the player is compared to everything else. You can maybe explore the player's upgrades a bit more by allowing them to get upgrades that aren't only centered on your rifle, such as faster movement speed, more health, etc. It might even be cool to give the player character some visible mutations if they do get these upgrades!

In terms of sound, I feel like some sounds are great and others are a bit tiring. The "score" sound you have is a bit too metallick-y and bright, which tends to fatigue the ears, especially if played repeatedly. You could use some more "wooden" or opaque textures instead and less harsh transients for this sound! The music was pretty cool and I had fun with it.

I feel like you did a very good job with the game in general. With some more polish you could have a very addicting game!

Got it!

So basically if we could increase the pace it might make the game a bit more fun. We're gonna see what we can do about that. Over all I Appreciate the fact you love the game (aside from the speed). Maybe a future update to the game might make it more addicting :)

I love the design of the enemies.

Developer(+1)

Took a bit to get all of them to be the right difficulty . We appreciate it !

They all want to hug me :D

I love the gameplay this one definitely had me playing for a while. There are quite a few enemy types so the game actually has A difficulty curve and the artstyle looks alot like a flash game which i love. I wish the player character (and some of the enemies) was faster though, because it's a bit sluggish.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment.
Actually enemies become faster over time (this difference is minor at the beginning), but about the player I agree, we'll fix it in the next versions.

Developer(+2)

we'll see about increasing the player speed, honestly it's a great suggestion.  So far it seems like the current player speed helps actually kill the player and incentivize them to hunt for speed powerups. We will keep it in mind tho!!!!
