I din't expect multiple sheep herding games in this jam, but here we are :) Some points:

  • Looks nice, cel-shaded sheep fit the atmosphere
  • Sounds nice, music fits, sheep sound... sheeply (?)
  • The gameplay has it's ups and downs. So far my every game looks like this: I herd a sheep. I herd another. Wolf appears too far to do anything. I fail, with 200 points.

Right now, I'm going for another playthrough, because my kid says your game looks interesting :)

haha yeah right now the wolf goes for the "nearest" sheep since at first he was never meant to despawn just move away from the player. i do plan on fixing that. making him choose a random sheep when he spawns instead. thanks for the feedback though. glad your kid likes the game haha

I think the game looked pretty good for the constraints of 3 days, the game was amazing, not sure how to exit the game 😅😅

yeah you can just alt+f4 the thing lmao

EZ first place (2000 points), but there seems to be a cap on how many sheep you can get into the pen (3-4 sheep). Here's why:

There is that one sheep (THE sheep) that stands in a corner of the map and every time a wolf spawns - it goes towards that one sheep. When you move any sheep away from its spawning location - another one spawns at that exact same location, and in the case of THE sheep - the new one replaces the role of wolf attractor. And over time wolves spawn more frequently, meaning that no matter what you do - at a certain point you will only be able to scare wolves away from THE sheep with no time to get it to the pen.

BUT, there is still one thing you can do to get an infinite score:

Overall nice game, I spent in it more time than I am willing to admit.🙂

oh my god i dont even know how you had the patience to do that. thanks for your feedback though i did want to make the wolf choose a random sheep since i wanted him to go after the closest one at first but then made him spawn and despawn but didnt really have time.(or i was too lazy lol)

GG seems everyone's an expert game developer these days
Love the low poly art style and the cel shaded (I think) sheep, but the colliders were a bit buggy and annoying near the trees

Yeah true i used the unity terrain for them ( i never used it before) so thats why haha

game jams are an opportunity to learn and experiment, the issue's just a minor inconvenience. amazing game :)
