I really found this frustratingly fun! I like how the platforms kept changing which made it quite trippy. Really felt like a very arcadey game. If it was a little more polished it would be much better :D
Thanks so much for the video! Is is okay to add it to my game's page? Thanks for the feedback, too. Arcadey is a big complement to me as it's what I always aim for. I'm having some ideas as to how to extend the game and make it more fun, so watch this space!
I think this will be really fun with a bit of polish! The platforms changing in the middle is frustrating. Nice work though! Check out Angel Fall when you get a chance!
I really like both the sounds and the overall look of the game (especially the turning of the frog), the base concept is also on point with the theme and with the scope of the jam, my only complaint is that the jumps felt a bit clunky sometimes, but other than this the game is really solid
Good look and sound. The animations are smooth, but the main mechanic is kinda strange and sometimes tedious. Overall, well done.
Love the sound effect when hitting the ball! I could totally see this becoming a popular mobile game with scaled difficulty!
Forgot to say, also love the paper-like flipping of the player!
I love the sprite for the player and its animation fits so well. other then that was mostly bland, i liked the gameplay but it had no difficultly ramp. overall good job!
Thanks for playing! You're right about the lack of a difficulty ramp. Just ran out of ideas and time, unfortunately. But the World gained a cool snooker-frog! :D
haha
Great graphics, satisfying sound design. The main mechanic that created difficulty was navigating between levels which was kind of tedious. I also think that not enough balls were ever spawned to be a challenge. I think with a better balance of balls and floors this game would be great! I also really liked how you referred to LootLocker as FootLocker.
Thank you, and yes, there really isn't a progression at all. I probably should have at least increased the speed of spawning. I also wanted to add holes as time went on, but couldn't work out exactly when to do so.
That's very funny re: FootLocker. I've fixed it now. I think I actually thought that was the name :D
Quite the charming lil game you got here! I really like the simple aesthetic as well as the player character itself. There's a good amount of difficulty to be had while still having the gameplay be simple to understand. Good job!!
Wow, thanks! I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I might yet turn it into something more complete...
Cool aesthetics, pretty good sound effects, gameplay's nice but the platforming's kinda hard and it would go stale later on, but the concept is very great and it's very understandable due to time constraint. Overall, pretty fine game.
Thanks very much. Yes, I definitely ran out of time. I didn't have a solid plan, which is probably half the problem, but I was thinking about adding other coloured balls and having to 'pot' them in snooker order or something. Game jams send you a bit mad, don't they?!
Had fun playing this, it was kinda difficult to get myself up to higher levels so I kinda just hung around the 2nd/3rd level knocking stuff away lol. Good job it was a fun play!
Thank you!
So I really struggled to jump onto higher platforms. That being said, the graphics are great, the shadows especially help convey motion. I love the main character.
Thank you very much. Froggy is very flattered!
The character was really goofy, I absolutely adored it. I feel as if the hitbox for the player could've been a bit smaller and less punishing.
Hehe. Yup, I love him too! I ran out of time on tweaking the jump and so on and, as someone else pointed out, more space between the platforms might help a bit.
Really cool! i loved the art and animations
Thank you. I'm pretty fond of that froggy guy!
Realy like this game. Great animations!
Thank you! I probably spent too much time on the cute frog!
Interesting concept, increasing the distance between platforms vertically would help
Yes, I think you're right. Thanks for playing!
sweet game, but hardcore gameplay! Sometimes it felt quite unfair especially when youre stuck and want to go deal with balls close to the bottom but you cant
Thanks! I was 50/50 as to whether to allow jumping down through the platforms by pressing down, but, having run out of time to add proper difficulty progression, left it as-is so as not to be too easy.
cool graphics! I like it
Thank you!
