Great idea! As others have already pointed out: with some work on controls and camera this can be really addictive.

Very cool idea, it's especially satisfying to see the monster bounce around. I would say to either choose mouse controls or keyboard controls for player movement since it's a bit frustrating to constantly switch between them. I would use left click to stop for player movement, so that way all of player movement can be controlled using the mouse. I also would make the camera follow the player, and not be controlled seperately. Other than those issues that need to be tweaked this is a really cool concept! The sound effects when the player ate one of the astronauts was especially funny.

I really love the gameplay idea and aesthetic of being The Blob on a spaceship. Jumping at the spacemen is the perfect method of attack.

I think the biggest issue is the camera- it should follow the Blob, or track it somehow. Also, some notification that you’re in “stick” or “bounce” mode would be helpful. Personally, I think the score should be how many spacemen you eat instead of time, but if you’re constantly shrinking then there’s really no difference.

Overall a very unique idea with a cool execution.

+ Very original, great idea, good graphics, funny sound effects, fun, fit the theme perfectly

- really did not like the camera (I hold shift all the time but then I don't see much and it is annoying to hold shift), wish it would just stop bouncing on it's own. So overall too many things to handle (cameras, stop bouncing, aiming)

This is a unique concept! I like it a lot! I think with a few small improvements this could be a great mobile game! 

The graphics and ambience fit well together, and the tutorial was easy to follow! My only suggestion would be to reduce the size of the map slightly or give the player the ability to zoom in/out the camera with scroll-wheel.

Love the ambience and the sound :) Had some trouble to understand the camera but nothing that broke the gameplay :)

I've already updated the camera on my editor version. Going forward the camera's just going to follow the player around and you can use the scroll wheel to zoom in or out as needed.

Yeah, I have an unfortunate tendency to keep adding more mechanics than my games actually need. But I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Title screen and map looked great - especially the title music. I agree that the camera angle is easier to play with when zoomed out fully, however it was fun to bounce around! Had a chuckle at the screaming astronauts :)

Thanks. Once I had settled on a horror theme the rest just kind of fell into place. I'm considering what to do about the camera.

I'd just suggest that you allow variable zoom levels and attach it to the scroll wheel. Combine that with a button that centers the camera on your character while held, and you're in business :)

I think the zoom out should be default- but the main thing is that when you get bigger, it gets harder, then you shrink and it gets easier again, so you can fluctuate for a while. I really like the idea though, the bouncing combined with the ability to stop when you want to adds some nice depth to the movement.

Thanks, the bigger/smaller difficulty curve was intentional. I'm considering either setting the camera to follow the player better, or just shrinking the play area so it's easier to see it all at once.

This is a fun concept and has some neat details, such as being able to zoom out to see the whole map and plan your next move, and the tutorial option was very appreciated! I did find the overall game play experience to be a bit difficult since the blob often shot off screen much faster than I could follow it with WASD - if this game is developed further, it would be great to see the camera automatically follow the blob when he goes off screen, or something similar to help the player follow the creature they're controlling. Great use of the theme!

I like the idea of it, my only issue was camera control felt pretty weird, the player moved to fast to use wasd so I had to hold shift the entire time. Other than that though its a pretty fun game

Yeah, I had considered making the camera tied to the player, but I was worried it would be nauseating to follow around the speed at which the character moves (he was much faster earlier in development).
