I remember storys about the flying spaghetti monster religion (not sure if this game is related, if not look it up, it's real LOL). The game itself is simple and fun! However, I felt like it was a little to relaxing and ramps up to slowly. Other than that, a solid submittion.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Yes, it has to do with the religion, we found it HILARIOUS! We decided to leave a little time for people on console or who rarely play video games to adapt to the controls and new enemies! Thank you for playing!

Cool game mechanics, but not really sure how it fit the theme. Still  fun entry though!

We tried incorporating the theme in absorbing the meteor pieces that are dropped!

"+" "Aesthetics" - very nice background in Main menu & Leaderboard.
"-" Game LOR is not clear and "rules" also not fully clear (you must play and have unsuccessful attempts)
"+/-" Idea with console interested, but size is very big

Developer

thanks for the feedback!

Nice game! Presentation is very polished. Gameplay started off a little slow, but was still enjoyable. Doesn't relate to the theme a whole lot, but still a cool idea.

Developer(+1)

didnt have a lot of time to fine tune the difficulty curve, thanks for playing!

A pretty basic concept executed very well, game gets quite tense after a while but in a good way, it doesnt overwhelm you while also keeping things interesting, Music and sounds were great, sounds were very satisfying too. Theme implementation was quite cool aswell.

Developer

thanks for playing!

The game felt pretty polished, but I have a few half-backed suggestions. Since there is an actual in game warning, I feel like the console should warn the player in advance, that way they have to decide which side of the tentacle to be on using the info from the console. At the same time make the console cover the top or even all of the screen so that you have to be safe before viewing the console. I especially like the menu music, and not so much the gameplay music.

Developer

about the side of the tentacle thing, its all random, so it would be pretty hard to calculate the "right" side. about the covering: i thought of making the difficulty setting that did exactly that, so full-blind mode, only console. thanks for suggestions!

If you spawned the meteors and tentacles all randomly, and then displayed where they are going to be on the console and then after a short delay make the meteors and spaceships start moving, that might also work. But your right about the console that would probably be better on a harder difficulty.

I loved the idea of creating a console and dividing the playable area into sectors. Also, tentacle animations are great as well as the general game style.  Two tentacles surrounded me and an alien ship shot me :/. One little idea is to make messages in the console with different colors to distinguish them easily.

P.S. Btw where the heck do those tentacles come from? What is that big hairy object? I have many questions)

Edit: Oh, spaghetti monster, I got it)

Developer(+1)

the color thing is pretty smart, thanks for the suggestion!

I liked the game, I especially liked the fact that it looks beautiful and finished.
But I don't see the theme.

Developer

the absorption part is mostly about the gold, not the best implementation, still thanks for playing!

I played this game in wegGL version. cool concepts!

Developer

thanks for playing!

I like the difficulty scaling in mechanics here, its pretty fun. Main problem is the game starts off pretty slow and that any projectiles such as green projectiles from the enemy ship are underneath the spaghetti monster and that doesnt leave a lot of time for reacting sometimes. Pretty easy to fix. But it was still fun!

Developer

you can detect things a little easier if you open the console (tab key), thanks for the reply!

This is a great arcade game. The best part are the sounds plus those sweet score collecting animations.

Developer

thanks for the reply!

Love the sounds and overall arcade filling of the game :) Also pressing tab activates stylised console which is a bit helpful to know where the obstacles approaching beforehand!

Developer

thanks!

I really enjoyed this game! nice visuals and everything is super clear and easy to understand! I would've loved if the spaghetti monster had big eyes though lmao. All id say is it'd be cool if the "absorption" played a larger role, maybe you get stronger or bigger or something.

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for playing!
