Okay. It was hard for me at the beginning, but after that I enjoyed it so much (highest score: 461).. This game is awesome! It fits really well to the theme, the design is simple and it looks good, and the difficulty is just as I would expect from this type of game. Great job! :)

Good use of theme, I agree with the difficulty cure. The speed at which the square falls could be slowed to help players catch it before falling off screen.

This is really hard, but very fun as well.

Is the level, or platforms, randomly generated? Because there were at times when I restart the game I was like "Wait...that wasn't there before." There were some instances where I couldn't even reach a platform because it was too far away.

Great job though!

Yeah each platform is randomly generated (except for the starting one) , the placements of them should always be possible to reach, because the player can do a double or even triple jump if they catch themselves but it can be tricky. Ill be working on improving the difficulty curve for sure

My highscore is 69

I give this game 69 out of 69

Aside: Some times I tried to teleport but nothing happened. Otherwise the game was great and very addicting.

Developer

Thank you for the 69/69 lol for the teleport, it will only work if you drop the player within the black circle and in an unoccupied space

Well this is pretty darned addictive! And well-polished too, the fading square as a timer during the teleportation is good feedback.

As others have mentioned, the procedural generation can be a bit harsh. This was probably beyond the scope of a jam, but if you want to keep working on the game then ideally the difficulty would start off quite easy so the player can get a feel for the teleportation without spikes around, and then things can ramp up the further they make it.

The visuals and music work nicely together for a fun experience, and the game has a good trickiness level once you get used to it. Like I mentioned, ideally the beginning would be a bit more beginner-friendly. Really well done! :D

Thank you for the feedback! I'll defiantly improve the generation and difficulty curve for sure!

I love the idea here. I think you've made good use of the theme, come up with a mechanic that is simple and intuitive, and managed to build a unique and addicting game around it. The keyword here is "addicting"- honestly the game itself is so much fun (I'm about to go back to play it some more). The simple, shape-based graphics are effective and suit the game well. The music is engaging, yet not distracting, and again perfectly matches the rest of the game. I've got to say this is my favourite game of the jam hands down (and there have been some great games for sure). Definitely gonna follow you and hope you develop this more and possibly consider an Android release. Fantastic work!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! I'll most likely add on to this and turn it into a mobile release :)

AYYY PROCEDURAL GENERATION GANG!
This game is super polished!, i really really love it, the generation is awesome although it's a little hard to get past 50. really really love the music and teleport mechanic! Super awesome game!, love it

also if you're willing, please check out my game, it also has procedural level generation!

Developer

Thanks, and I will!

Cool game

The game is a very good rogue-like. The randomization makes it very  difficult, and sometimes plateform can simply cannot be reached. Sound design is  pretty good

I like the dragging mechanic, it's really cool and works well. I like the design, it's simple but suits the game nicely. Sometimes I found spikes spawned in places that made it impossible to jump anywhere without dying.

Oh wow, this is actually amazing, for a game jam it has a tooon of stuff: Procedural generation, lots of menu options, a store, slo-mo... The art is simple but it fits the style, and the music is very nice. I really enjoyed playing it!

Thank you!

I love the unique platforming game design it is well made and I have found myself having to make really interesting split second decisions on what platform I should teleport to and when I should teleport.

I am in love with this. it feels so polished. I hope i can get the hang of things soon and make a game like this one. The teleporting was nice but i felt myself missing the player and plummeting to my death a lot. Overall this was amazing. Good job

SOOOO cool! I love how simple but polished this is, and the teleport mechanism is absolutely fantastic. I could totally see this being the next geometry dash, but 10 times better! The only slight issue I had was the music felt a bit too repetitive/similar (like the amount looped was a little too short, resulting in the same part being heard over and over) for the length of time spent in game. But that's totally understandable given how you only had 3 days. :)

Really well done!

Amazing Game!!! Teleportation Mechanic is really well made, I love the idea that you can start playing directly from Menu. At this moment I bought 2 skins and I really need to get my hands on this third skin so I'm going back to playing (Really Good Work I'm definitely going to keep this game on my drive)
