so i got it to run, but then i had to login. I could type in the login text spaces, but then obviously i needed to register first. But when i tried to type in the nickname and password text spaces in the register box, it wouldn't let me type. maybe i was doing something wrong, idk...but the game looks super cute. really wanted to play this one. hoping you stick with the project and update it.

Sorry to hear that, if you still wanna try it I made the test login accessible "pimtest" as name & password.

I will add it in the installation detail in case it happen to other people, thank you.

I'm battling to get this launched, getting the same as the screenshot below. :(

Hey,  It's sad it doesn't display install instruction on submission page but it's on the main page of the project.

In the zip archive you have a  .exe named  "HTML5LaunchHelper.exe", you launch it it will start a local server.
In your browser you enter the link      http://localhost:8000/    and it will open the access of the project folder and from this you click on the index.html  to launch the game.

Really want to play this game but can't open it using the instructions you provided.

Its a shame too because it looks cool - perhaps try and just use a packaged format next time? Im not sure what benefits HTML5 offers over a standalone.exe when you arent talking about multiplayer.

Developer

This is weird this error happen only if you don't enter the local server created by the Helper exe (http://localhost:8000/)

I wanted to make it html because it's easier for people to play it but got an issue (different than the size one) that was blocking the upload on any website, so I uploaded (by luck after few hours of the 1st deadline because it was also blocking its upload xD) the zip before going to sleep.
If I knew I'd have this issue at the beginning I would have gone for a standalone in the late version of the engine   😅

I had no idea you could make something like this in unreal. Is it just the older versions that can generate webassembly? Very cool.

Developer

Hello, thank you and yes older version can package to allow us making webgames and probably 4.27 but you have to go manually from their github.

(I used UE 4.23 for that one)

I don’t like browser games, so the entire setup was a god awful experience. I shouldn’t have to learn rocket science to play a video game. Otherwise the game is decent, not the best thing I’ve ever played but I enjoyed it for what it was. It however is absolutely not worth the hoops I had to jump through to play it in the first place.

love the art concept for this one and liked the contrast of day and night cycle good job

Like the art idea of having sweet things turn evil, would have liked some more horror aspects to it to increase the contrast of the day and night cycle, great job though!
