Well, after installin' what this game needed to work on my end, this was pretty entertaining... in an old Newgrounds kind of way. I was not expectin' a whole lot of Phillips CD-i representation, but it definitely made me laugh throughout what I played.  Is there any reason why you decided to include those specific characters in this game?

The only real bug I found, which might actually be intended (?), is that when selecting the second option while talkin' to the NPC in the first room it freezes Dedede in place and needs to be restarted to fix.
Also some of the UI in the battle mode is sort of hard to read, especially the stats on top of the Dedede sprite.

In conclusion, I was definitely thoroughly entertained.

Glad you were entertained

For the CD-i representation I added them cause this RPG is based on my Youtube series Dedede Chronicles but in RPG form having most of the original cast like King Dedede, Hark, Gwonam and Hotel Mario! Waddle Dee obviously isn’t in the original series but he was there because well this is King Dedede’s servant were talkin’ about and Angelica does not exist in the series either she was just a tooken prop of a Angel NPC and had it’s hue recolored ya know kinda like THOSE deviantart OCs

As for the bug you encountered… this was intentional to make a funny softlock easter egg but because you have to wait a total number of 999 frames this wasn’t the case and it’ll take her a while to finally say something!

And for the UI yeah… throughout playtesting the RPG it is (kind of) impossible to read the King’s stats… I’ll try and see what I can do

(On a side note I do like that you compared my RPG to old NG that shit use to be fire! So it’s nice of you to send me back to my childhood were I watched all those Nintendo newgrounds vods)

I installed the RTP to give this a try. I like the idea of a silly RPG where you play as King Dedede. Other than having to install the RTP, I think my only complain is that the maps feel very large. When I first got to the pink room, I thought it was all set to a single texture and that there was not more content beyond that point. I did find where to go and got some extra party members, but for a second I thought that I had seen all the content already. I hope you can expand on this more down the road!

I’m working on fixing the bugs thanks for the feed back

I'm getting a launch error when I run the main executable

Same...

yyyyyyikes… ok tbh when I clicked on the “Game.exe” it was working properly for me… I’m sure this can be solved in a future build? I mean it’s too late to fix shit now since it’s already on this jam. in general I’m sorry it’s not working

Unless it could have something to do with the soulbeasts file in there cause it was never there!

Which engine or framework did you use to make this entry? If it's in the RPG Maker family it may require users to separately download an RTP package that has all the standard art/audio assets for that version of RPG Maker.

Developer

ohhhhhhhhh… I see.. well thanks for reminding me I’ll remember that for the next demo build!

Alright this was made in RPG Maker XP, people can download the RTP from the official RPGMaker website, make sure to get the one for XP specifically.
