Wow, starting animation is nice. And graphics in general are nicely done. Creepy nice done creatures create the fear of unknown.

Sometimes it’s hard to see. And because of that it’s easier to lose (I could see the danger but not were would be good to run).

There is some story but it feels like it doesn't matter as much.

Alright, so... this game was an awesomely horrifying experience. Looking forward to whatever you plan to make next, because this was great!

Hi!! We really liked the art and atmosphere of the game; it reminds us a bit of Fear and Hunger.

SPOILERS

At first, we got stuck after finding the first finger. On the second attempt, we completed the game pretty quickly. The issue was that after interacting with the teddy bear, it didn’t give us the finger, but it worked the second time. The only difference was that the first time we arrived without the lever, which might be related. We believe it would be helpful if the bear gave the finger on the first interaction to avoid confusion.

Then, in the underground section, a character killed us when they got close, and it sent us directly to the menu. It might improve the experience to have a small animation or illustration before sending the player to the menu.

Lastly, some areas were very dark, making it a bit difficult to understand what we were seeing.

Other than that, we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is captivating, and the game is pretty easy to follow. Congratulations, and we hope to see more of your games soon! :)

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you guys liked the atmosphere

Teddy bear double interaction -  Sorry about that, I checked and forgot to change the trigger for it (oops)

That was AWESOME.

Basically Silent Hill if its atmosphere was designed by someone like H.R.Giger. Speaking of Silent Hill, the hole you jump into was inspired by it, right?

Great job!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yes, the hole was inspired by silent hill 2

Heh...nice. I recommend you check out Lost In Vivo and Schuld (another RPG Maker game). They have that Silent Hill vibe too.

Sorry to double comment, I like to do more gameplay focused / breakdowns on the jam review page.
The mood of this was stellar. It had me completely captured from the first animation. I liked how with every interaction it felt like I was more icked out and ALSO more resigned to the state of the world. It felt like being on the creature side of I Am Legend, haha. Like here we all are, gross flesh monsters, hanging out.

The puzzles were well done and I didn't run into any huge problems. Every time a path opened it felt like I knew where it would be, which was nice. I liked how the map slowly filled with other creatures. I didn't run into any tileset issues I can remember...

I wanted there to be more saves. I understand limiting saves, but it felt like they were sometimes in random locations and it was pretty late into the game that they were introduced. Or maybe I just missed the earlier ones.

I loved the font! That was really cool looking and creepy. I noticed some numbers were using "normal" font and some weren't, which is odd haha. But just fyi. The music was creepy and well done, well balanced, And I loved whatever that soft fuzz was that was floating over the screen. Gave everything a very soft ephemeral look without being too busy.

Really great, really had me scared and I don't get scared / grossed out easily haha. I know Beregon is doing a body horror jam at some point in the future, really hope to see you back for more jams in general but especially that one haha!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I will probably join the body horror game jam (the theme is noice)

The name of the font is pathethicbit. It is indeed really cool!
