Diiiiid you, just talk to my girlfriend? Sorry, we couldn't help singing that all the way through! And we loved this game too, a proper card game in there in a game of style and substance!

The art is so amazing, particularly on the cards. The card game itself is a lot of fun, with Melanie's decree being a cool twist.

Absolutely incredible art and an impressively well realized card game too. Great work!

Phewww there were a few times I thought the AI had me, but I pulled through in the end. To pile onto what everyone has already said: your game has fantastic art and music, and is just a solid presentation all around. My favorite card art: Reuzerat. There's just something about that pose.

Thank you so much! Considering your game has so many rats and bears I'm not entirely surprised by that pick :D

Your art is AMAZING!!! I'm really impressed with the depth of the card game and the overall replayability. Really great stuff! Also, I love your style of cinematics and storytelling!

Absolutely tickles my card battle game itch! Everything is so strong across the board, the art, the music and vibes, all complimenting a very addictive card battle system. I like the variety of effects and conditions, and the latter rounds with Melanie's Decree made each hand feel tense and exciting.

You're the kindest, egpNoodlez. Thank you!

This was such a good time. Interesting gameplay, nice moody art, and sharp writing. Really enjoyed it!

I'm always worried about the writing as it's not my first language, so reading a comment like that is awesome. Thank you so much for playing!

This was a really nice card game. The art is as many have mentioned fantastic. I did encounter something strange during my first playtrough since I lost the fist match and got to play as Seraphina (great way to not break up the tournament) When I won the final round the cutscene was the same as the Walrus winning one but with Seraphina just standing there. I am guessing there was not time to make multiple endings but it was a bit jarring when compared to how polished the rest of the were.

Love the art style and fun card battle system! Even though I lost to Mary, I'm glad I replaced her with my new friend, Foamy Frank.

This was such an unique game in so many ways. The quirky and dark art style was a very interesting take on the world and the character redesigns were pretty cool, I particularly liked the interpretation of Primeval Mask, DSD and Solveig. The way each character's powers were implemented in their unique play style is neat. I took a while for me to understand the rules of the game so my first playthrough was disastrous, but I ended it feeling like I've learned how to play and it was fun enough that it granted a second playthrough, where I managed to win every battle. Overall, really unique and fun game!

Top notch art across the board. The card game is very interesting. This would have worked really well with a longer format that gave you some deck building opportunities. That pesky time limit though lol. It's really cool as is anyway.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad to hear you liked it. I kind of see it as a test to see if it's worth extending this to a bigger project.

Amazing submission. The art style, music and dialogue set such a unique tone. I ended up really enjoying the gameplay once I got a hang of it. I'd love a way to skip the tutorial, was kinda hoping NG+ might do that. As I'll definitely come back to play this one again!

Thank you! And that's a great idea, I'll probably add it in along with some other features that I had to cut (after the jam ofc).

Just an all around awesome package.  the art and music are top notch and the card game is really fun.  all the character look unique but instantly recognizable.  its truly a wonderful game.  even if i still havent been able to get that wally run yet.  im sure ill be back to try again though

Developer

Thank you so much, wujak. And also for your help. I want to add a feature to choose to retry fights as Walrus (it led to some last minute issues, so I had to cut it), so that should make that quest easier!

I'll just echo the obvious, the visuals are fantastic. Fun card game mechanics as well! Such a good vehicle for your art.

Amazing stuff! It fit within the rules completely while having such wildly unexpected theming . Couldn't resist going back to play it again after my first run through.

Such an amazing artstyle and atmosphere, great game!

Thanks, Leo! Looking forward to playing yours tonight as well!

Beautiful art/music! Fun card strats and it made me laugh. I had fun reading the fonts

Developer

Haha that's fair :P I went back and forth trying to find the most readable Gothic style font out there (and also free to use). But I'm very happy you liked the game, so thank you very much!

Extremely impressed by this. I loved your game last year, and I enjoyed this one even more. Art and music were both sick, very nice use of the three friends concept, and just a legitimately fun card game. Really great job.

Thank you so much! One of my goals was to improve on my work from last year, so your comment really warms my heart!
