I've read that for some it lacks variation.

I didn't feel that way. On the contrary, I think you change little things but keep the flow. I let myself be transported. And I liked it a lot. The arrangement is good. I approve!

Thank you Selkione, this means a lot for me!

Nice sounding track! The bass seems a bit too prominent (maybe)? Maybe a B-section could give it a bit more variation. Other than that it is quite relaxing and fun to listen to. :]

I love the vibe, very comfortable and nice. The build up from the intro into the main theme has great flow, and the shift in the accompaniment and drum line around 2:40 is a subtle and nice change in atmosphere.

I think why some people might find this repetitive lies in how your main melody remains very constant throughout after 1:38. Maybe including a few more obvious changes to accompany your subtle changes might help make this music even more engaging. For example, you could try introducing some rhythmic or pitch variations in your main melody, or periodically let a different instrument with a contrasting texture play the melody to spice up your music more? Just throwing out some ideas.

Either way, great job, I really enjoyed listening to this!

(Also, for the bass drums other comments are talking about, it sounded fine when I was listening with my earbuds, but they were a bit loud when I listened with my headphones, just FYI)

Thank you for your feedback! I usually compose in this style (sometimes a bit repetitive) because I like it, so that's a matter of taste too I guess? But I can see why some of you guys might not enjoy it and I'm sorry for that! Maybe I'll add some more variations next time

Yes, house! I think it's nice to see how the same challenge can produce different effects depending on the genre, and I think this is the house way of doing this, I really like it!

One note regarding the mix. The bass is a bit loud even for the genre. Probably, you could achieve the same result but with a more stable mix by using sidechain compression to create a pumping effect and make the bass stand out without being super loud.

I am aware of the fact that the mix is a little bit off haha. thanks for your feedback!

I like the vibe of the song although the bass drum was too loud IMO. I also think it took a little bit long to get to the motif and when it eventually got to the halfway point, the track didn't change much for the rest of the almost 2 minutes.

Thanks man, for the structure I don't think there's anything wrong however I could see how a non-lover of the genre might find it a bit repetitive. thanks for the feedback though :)
