Hi! I've never made a game before, and I've also never done layout. Is it cool to make the game first without regard for visual style and then go back and make it look good post-jam? Thanks for any insight on the etiquette of this move!
I'm also new to submitting to jams, but I'm 99.9% sure, based on my experiences downloading the games of others, that there's no real taboo about updating things at a later date! Polish later if the visuals aren't a huge aspect of the game - people who've already bought/downloaded the game will be notified that you've made an update.
