The electrons' motion is opposite because one is highlighted and the other is not. This behaves like electron spins and the opposite motion shows the opposite spin of electrons. Also, it involves various gate operations on the quantum spins, like NOT gate, C-NOT gate, etc. So, it applies quantum physics principles and phenomena.
