This Game Jam is for Politechnika Wroclawska W4N students, finishing Video Game Design course.

The jam consists of 2 phases. The first phase is an upload phase, when participants upload their games. After the first phase has ended, the second phase starts immediately. The second phase is a vote phase, when participants rate games of others.

Please make sure your game builds are working.

Grades

Attendance for this jam is optional. If you participate, you earn bonus points for the course regardless of your game's position in jam rating. So, all jam participants will receive equal bonus points for the course. The jam rating is just for fun.

Schedule

Start of the jam and the upload phase: Wednesday 31.01.2024 11:00.

End of the upload phase and start of the vote phase: Thursday 01.02.2024 21:00.

End of the jam and the vote phase: Friday 02.02.2024 23:59.

How to participate?

2. Join this game jam.
3. Create a Project on itch.io within your account.
4. Submit your Project before Thursday 21:00.
5. Wait for the vote phase start.
6. Rate games of other participants before Friday 23:59

For which platform should I make a game build?

• Windows (UWP). You should upload an archived folder with your build.
• Browser (WebGL or similar).

How games are rated? (Rating Categories)

There are several categories in which games are rated:

• Gameplay - How fun is it to play the game?
• Story - How much do you like the game's narrative, theme, plot presentation?
• Graphics - How visually beautiful and color-matched is the game? (Textures, Colors, Post-Processing, Lightning).
• Audio - How much do your ears feel adorable during the play? (Sounds, Music).
• UI Intuitiveness - How comfortable do you feel with the game's menus, UI, HUD?
• Bugs Amount - Are there a lot of bugs in the game?

How to make everyone from my team be able to rate other games?

The one who uploads the game is a Submitter. Other team members are Contributors. Submitter will be able to rate games by default when vote phase starts. Submitter should add Contributors on the Project page. Here is a quick guide how to add Contributors.

Team member will be able to rate games after he is added to the Project as Contributor and joined the game jam.
