Actually an appealing art style even though it was rushed. The gameplay was nice but i noticed that I only used the player for reviving the other(the WASD controlled one) when he died, because I would always forget the attack key for the other player. So I actually think that a really cool idea would be to separate the functionality of the two players by giving them different kind of purpose. Perhaps one support character and the other is for attacking, I think it would make the game way more fun, and less overwhelming for a single player experience, while still maintaining the "two players". Awesome job, I really hope you finish this game in the future!

Thanks! I thought it would be simpler to make it so that the controls are sort of mirrored, but maybe your idea is not so bad. I'm hoping I can improve on this in some sort of patch eventually, but no promises. I'm glad you at least enjoyed the aspects I'm happy with.

This game was really fun. The art and animations were cute and the inventory looked great. Playing on keyboard was a little confusing, but was pretty fun and made it more difficult to try and dodge all their attacks with both characters, which was nice! Wish there was sound, but other than that I had a great time playing!

Thank you so much! I'm probably gonna add some sound in a post-jam patch, though my music making skills are abysmal so i dont think it would add much. I'm super glad you enjoyed it though!

Nice job clocked it. I appreciate your hand drawn animation. Also the level design when you travel through things to get to other rooms quite well done. Your inventory animation was good as well. Very different creative art.

Obviously no music or sound but if you did add some i think it would really add something at least sound effects that would be very nice :)

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm especially glad you liked the music and honestly thought I might have made it too difficult or something. As for sound, I do agree that music and sounds are super important, though I didn't have enough time to implement them(I actually made 2 really bad songs but didn't have the time to actually put them into code). Your game was also fantastic :)

Sorry - I tried both browser and download but just got a black screen - let me know if you get sorted and I will pop back and have a proper go :)

I fixed it, thank you so much for letting me know about this! I thought this was only a problem with browsers since it worked perfectly fine on my laptop, so I couldn't have fixed it without your advice. The game is somewhat playable but also very unpolished, but I hope you have fun anyway :)
